After you wait for the entire radio to re-scan to find the local station frequency that's broadcasting the audio for the movie (you can't manually tune the radio - Thanks Toyota), then you'll discover that due to the signal processing delay inside the radio system, there's about a full second of lag! MAYBE this is doable if you're the only person hearing the Tundra's radio and you're ok with a bad lip-sync problem the entire movie, but it was entirely useless when all the nice newer-model Fords and Chevy's around me all and their radios on too, but with out Toyota's lag problem! We couldn't turn our radio on in this expensive new truck to enjoy the movie because it created a bad, bad echo delay for everyone around us. We had to ask guy in the 2022 Ford 250 next to us to turn up his radio so we could sit in our Tundra for the movie. Any chance you can address this, Toyota?

Since Toyota frequently checks threads on here I’m sure there will be a resolve shortly.

    Cool!

Toyota, stop putting so much chrome on these trucks. Nobody likes it.

Absolutely first world problem! Agree! But, to be fair, I did use first world money to buy this problem too! :) and this problem didn’t exist in my 1985 Sony Walkman, so why Toyota messing with something that wasn’t broke in previous gen radios? I bet they’re analyzing the signal for the digital/HD carriers on the frequency and that processing adds delay. Still, other manufacturers don’t have the delay.

i have 6 kids, so a headphone out splitter isn’t an option.

    :eek2:

They do say Toyota enthusiasts are a bunch of horny SOBs. :hattip: Hats off to you sir.

There has to be a setting to manually tune into a certain channel. Any other 3rd gen guys confirm?

Haven’t tried the drive in with it yet, but I believe you can tune the radio manually, I’m just not in my truck to confirm how. I think you go to audio, then select source, (am or fm) then you can manually tune from there, by typing in the radio station number ( 95.7 for ex)

How do you stop the radio shutting off every 20 mins?
