I use onX for hunting. I like goHunt much better. Gohunt has a trial period if you want to take a test run. 3D views on an iphone. Now have all 50 states.

Gaia works with carplay. Because of this, if I could find a double din stereo w/ CarPlay that would fit into Hulk’s fabulous “Limited” = burl wood dash, I’d buy it. I put in a single din because I use an iPad for Nav, but I jumped from an iPad mini to Air and, once I added a Hulk-proof case, it weighs too much for the window suction mount. So… anyway… Gaia works with CarPlay. So now I want CarPlay.

OnX looks like it might have a little bit more detailed maps as far as features, but it also cost more than Gaia did when I bought it in the five year bundle.

Once you have carplay it's hard to not have it.

Yeah. It’s a bummer. The regulated heathens haven’t come back :( So now we don’t have regular truck mod content OR manly camaraderie.

We’ll then. Sleep when you’re able, for as long as you’re able. Extra work is good for straight money, but you gotta stay healthy doing it.

Wow, the spare is full size AND there’s a matching wheel?! You are Winning!

Loading up junk from the back porch. Silver truck has been sitting for about three weeks since dad bought a commuter car. Was angry with me when I fired it up.

Bought another tdi Jetta today. This ones an 03. It’s gonna be a bigger gamble though. Dude said he pulled the injection pump to replace an o-ring, and didn’t get it back in time. I got for it $500 :fistbump: figured I’d gamble on for that kind of money.

Fair enough Sunny. I messed with both at the desk and after onX sent me 30 off, I got a year. My big concern was the limited med resolution offline map tile size, but I quickly learned that you can tile adjacent maps and it's like one big map. So, that doesn't seem to be the issue I thought it was. @Casper421 uses it, so i'm sure he will have some input. So far for me, it works like I want. Only real testing is city for now. I'll update as I learn.

This is the Red Canyon Jeep trail in Blue. That lower waypoint is a train bridge in the wash. Really office testing so far...But it's cool to look back and see where I was or want to return.

How do you tile adjust maps?! Low res offline maps have been my biggest gripe but I’ll learned to live with it. It’s easy to use and has a lot of info so I’m good with OnX.

Well, I may be full of shit. But capture the high res little map or the middle med resolution map and just save adjacent maps. Maps saved are saved. So when you cross map borders, you are into another saved/offline map.

Here's the dilemma I've been facing for awhile now. My phone has a hard time keeping accurate GPS when saving my own tracks sometimes, and will also get stuck. Terrain and the direction I'm driving in are the biggest factors. In the picture below, all the colored lines are my own driving. You can see the areas where the GPS isn't keeping up. Sometimes it will get stuck really bad like the blue line.

    Navigation.jpg

This is what I'm currently planning to invest in to help:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E65TNYE?smid=A2XENS8LQP1A6D

I had researched these before and met someone at T2S that really liked theirs. You and others may not run into this like I am, or care that much about it. I would recommend getting more experience with GPS tracking before trying it and see if you actually need it though.

Got my fuel door swapped today, feels good to knock that out.

adjusted the dust shield, hopefully no more noises.

replaced a failed windoor T handle lock, kind of a pain because the new ones have short shafts so I have to de-pin and swap for the OG long shaft. But good to get that done.

Jason knocked out the shocks on my ‘05 Tacoma today. That guy is a work machine.
