Harbor Freight has the 3 ton pittsburgh jack on sale for $119.00. Think its overkill for a 3-ton for my Tundra, currently have a 1.5 ton craftsman, but have never lifted the truck with it....Thoughts?

Yes you want a 3 ton. Alcan was recently on sale at Costco and I picked one up to replace my HF 3.0 ton b/c every now and then I hear of failures of the Pittsburgh jacks. That said, if you don’t take shortcuts… Al sways position redundant stands before you work underneath, anything that lifts the truck, lifts the truck.

Ha! I have a 3 ton Pittsburgh (low profile) from harbor freight and a 1.5 craftsman or maybe an off brand one. I use the Pittsburgh a lot more. Greater range of motion and smoother to use. Only time I use the smaller one is when I need 2 for tire rotation

I have two floor jacks. The heavy lifter is a NAPA Professional 3.5 ton. It's very heavy & really stout! I use it at home in the garage or driveway for the heavier lifts such as the trucks.
I also carry a pneumatic 3 ton unit for the trailer should we encounter a tire issue on the side of the road. IMAG0907.jpg
This thing is awesome! It's lightweight (hence the trailer usage), has a large surface area base for loose surfaces, and my 10 gallon air tank at 125 PSI will lift both front tires off the ground on my truck exactly once. Got it on Amazon.

    Not sure at this point.
I use a Pro Eagle 3-ton jack. You’d probably want a 3 ton to do anything with the Tundra. 1.5 is a bit small.
