Looking to add some round off road lights to the guard being designed for the Tundra. Have been looking at LED but no opposed to halogen lights either. Have had my eye on black background LED's or possible a red ring as an accent. Any preferred types? Looking for advice. Thanks guys.

Halogens are garbage. HID or LED is the way to go. HID require some warm up time (5-10) seconds. LEDs are the best IMO.

Vision X makes some round ones if that's what you're dead set on.

For offload lights, I'd stay away from the fancy-shmancy stuff like accent rings. You're only going to use them when there is no one coming your way, in which case no-one will ever see them anyway. Instead, I would concentrate on light output, beam pattern, and durability.

I'd also stay away from HIDs. When you need off-road lights, you need them now. HIDs are for when you need them in a while. For durability, I'd go with LEDs. As to beam pattern, this is one case where you get what you pay for. There is no end of really nice looking and really inexpensive offload lights, but they tend to have poor reflectors and worse lenses.

I really like Black Oak lights. Rigid and Baja Designs, also make decent ones.

Brown Bear and Baja Mike like this.
