I put this stage 1 lift on a few weeks ago and just noticed this noise today. I’m guessing it’s the UCA? Any ideas ?

I was standing on the step rail, moving the truck

did you grease the bushings? Torque correct? Was torque done in while truck was in the air or on ground?

That's the sound of the bushings needing to be greased.

I’m not sure how to grease the bushings on Ironmans UCA. There’s really no way to do it, the way they designed it. And they never mention of having to grease it.

Did you tighten the upper long bolt under load or unloaded? Maybe reach out to them and see what they say? I'm curious on their response.

I believe you are supposed to apply a liberal amount of grease to the bushings before installation. I had to do the same when i installed SPC uppers. The upperbolt is also to be torqued when the truck is on the ground, not raised.

The bolt was tightened while the truck was on the ground. I took the nut loose, bounced on it, no sound. Drove it up the road, then tightened around 85 ft lbs, noise is back.

I sent them the video yesterday, should hear back today. My passenger side is quiet as a mouse.

here’s a pic of the bushings on their arm, you’d only be able to grease the outside, I don’t see how that would stop this noise.

Ironman4x4 called me and since the noise goes away when I loosen the nut, they're assuming something is wrong with the bushing and are sending me another set of UCA's

Hello, what is the latest on this? Is the issue gone after replacing the UCA?

I thought IM uses factory style rubber bushings that doesn't require grease. Can someone confirm?

Also how is the UBJ holding up? Any issues?

Probably over torqued. Just add some thread locker blue and loosen just a little and test it.
