How much do Tundra engines/transmissions love "flooring it"?

When I owned a WRX STi, Stage 2, tuned, blah blah blah, I felt like I was doing it a dis-service not accelerating fast. Moved to an FJ Cruiser and it was sluggish enough I just never had the urge. My new Tundra is surprising me with getup and go. I can't help but think this beast of a vehicle might not love hard acceleration very much due to size, but what do I know. So my question - how well do modern day trucks (Tundra) hold up to a bit of spirited driving?

I am not trying to make the million mile club - I just hate to be an asshole with my brand new (<1500 miles) truck.

I get on mine to, freeway on ramps are your friend. I love how well this truck moves plus that v8 growl is addicting.

Agreed, Interstate on-ramps with nannies off = much fun (how sad am I)?

+1 on flooring it with a rumble following you down the road. Riding today, windows down, sun roof open, rear window down, flowmaster sayin hi to everyone. Had a 08 dc tundra and was heavy on the pedal for 5 years and 30k miles no issues.

It's hard to control myself with the amount of power the Tundra has. The only thing stopping me from flooring it all the time are those stupid signs with the numbers on it next to the side of the road. Grrrrr!

Ill see what she has going on then! :) Probably a stupid question - I just get nervous everytime I start out in a new vehicle.
