The dealer actually took mine in as a trade. This helped me out on the sales tax part. We ended up splitting the difference on the sales tax so they ended up making about $800 to basically do the paperwork.

Sounds like a win, win, win! Congrats!
There used to be a chrome lovers club around here somewhere but they may have been banned for immoral behavior. Haven't heard anything from em in quite a while.

wow! you have a very nice dealer!

several years ago, I was looking at a Tundra and one guy was in the process of buying the only model/color on the lot that I would have considered ... anyways, the dealer walked away for something and as soon as I approached the car (and the potential buyer) the dealer rushed back with another dealer or manager and they separated us ... it was VERY obvious to me that they did not want us talk.

    btw, congrats!

    Congrats, OP. Happy ending.

That was over at TT, which explains why you haven't heard anything from them.

If you think about it the dealer sold two vehicles in a short period of time versus maybe none. Pretty smart move on the dealer making a few bucks and pushing two units at the end of the month. I agree a lot of dealers would not do something like this, glad the OP found a good one and got what he wanted.

The only thing I let them do is change my oil as my friend Paul is the manager.

They are my closest dealer and I've bought four Tundras elsewhere.

Agree. They have a great service department. They are not very competitive in sales. I've bought three other Toyotas elsewhere and saved a lot of money. Their service department is hands down the best in Atlanta area.

07 & 11 Tundras: Dealer in Asheville NC however they got bought out. It's now called Fred Anderson Toyota. Dealt with same chic and she's still there. Lori Brady
    (828) 423-2119. Best prices around at time and worth the drive. Best new vehicle buying experiences ever.

17 Tundra: Scumbag dealer in North Augusta, SC named Bob Richards Toyota ..FCK UM

I like to do all my shopping through the internet salesman. I tell them up front what I want,no dealer fees etc, then when I get to the dealer, if they try anything different, I just go to the next dealer. You have to be prepared to walk out the door.

    Awesome feedback
I'm stuck in Newnan Ga, unfortunately, so most of the metro Atl dealers are viable options. The local dealer here seems high on all they're online pricing. They're asking $45k for a T4R Pro with about 35k miles on it :der:. My wife and I are still debating who gets to upgrade their ride. T4R for her or Tundra (if not another Taco) for me.
Asheville and the Greenville/Spartanburg area are options too, my parents live in far NE Ga.

I start with the internet salesman as well. Typically I try to negotiate to an OTD price I'm comfortable with.
I could care less how they divy the money up. Just as long as the total is where I want it to be.

In my experience you better call around and do a lot of emailing dealers. You would be surprised how many dealers aren't willing to help a guy who's ready to drop $50k on a new Trd Pro. The dealership who I bought my wife's 4Runner from basically told me to go fly a kite. But hey I'm in WA, you may have more southern hospitality down in GA.

That's exactly what I did to get my Pro. Had to talk to 30 dealerships but ended up below MSRP so I was happy.
