Anyone had any issues with these not jumping your tundra ever? I just carry around cables but I'm looking into these.

If it’s fully charged it has always worked. One time I was charging my phone off it, and tried to help someone, battery was halfway and it didn’t work.

I purchased a Noco GB50 in August 2020. I kept it stored in the truck, but never had the need to use it. I checked it prior to a trip last winter and found it dead. Charged it, but would wouldn't hold a charge. Eventually it was completely dead. I emailed Noco, and despite it being out of warranty, offered to replace it. It thought that was cool of them. Just got a shipping email, so I'll be curious to see what they sent. Hopefully I can get some information on why the original unit failed.

Good to know, thanks for the information. So as long as I keep her fully charged it should work no problem.

Very interesting @DZ_ . Where do you live at and do you store your truck outside?

I live in Frederick County, MD. My truck lives outside and the Noco lived in the tool tray under my Diamondback cover. Certainly not an ideal storage scenario, but I would think a common one.

So my new to me 2007 when I initially got it has some issues starting my truck from time to time...

Anyways while on a trip out shopping my Tundra refused to start. I have 2 people try to give me a jump start using old jumper cables. One was a medium size car the other was a v8 Dodge Ram pickup. Non were able to get the truck going. So at that time I thought I likely have an extremely dead battery...

I was going to buy a battery at Walmart but before that I asked my dad to get my Li-Ion Battery Boost Jump starter...thinking this is a last hopeless try to see if its starts. I hooked it up to the jump starter and bam it started the v8 like it was nothing.. these Li-Ion jumpstarters are legit. I would get them for sure..

BTW the after further troubleshooting it found out my battery cables were dirty and hence were not charging the battery properly. I cleaned out my battery cables and that essentially fixed the starting problem.

    Moral of the story -

    1. Get the Li-Ion Jumpstarter or the newer SuperCap one
    2. Clean your battery cables/attachments to ensure you battery charges properly

I've had one of these for a while, got this one from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087LRFYDB

Used it about 5 times to jump start someone else's car in the last year or so and every time was at a gas station. Haven't had to start my own truck with it yet but with an OEM battery going on 2.5 years I'm sure my time is coming.

We have four vehicles, an ATV and a side by side. We only use two of the vehicles on a regular basis so dead batteries aren't abnormal around here. I love these things. I got two jumper blocks. I put one in my truck and one in the wife's 4Runner. I have jumped our 2004 4Runner multiple times on one charge. I once had to jump the Tundra and it didn't skip a beat. The only challenge that I have is when I try to jump the 7.3 diesel F250. For that I have to use both blocks because of the high compression ratio and the quirky fuel injection system. It has to turn the engine over enough times to build a lot of fuel pressure to kick in the HPOP. It says "up to 8.0 liter but I haven't found ANY jumper block that will start a totally dead 7.3.

I thought I would add today's experience to my earlier post...
Went to get a replacement tank of 75/25 welding gas, loaded it up, started the truck... G'rrrrr friggin DEAD battery!
MY BAD ...... BUT, I grabbed my NOCO GB40 boost pack. It was down to a 1/2 charge... CRAP, tried it anyway, truck started right up... let idle a bit, walked away, it dies ... hook the boost back up, started right up, again. On half it's charge, 2 bars, NICE!
I LOVE this pack. Currently giving the NOCO a good charge, then putting it back in the truck!

I def want one of these but My main concern is not if it works when charged - but how long it will hold that charge. How often are you guys topping them off or drain/charge?

Last time I charged mine was when I received it, 7 months ago. I had used it several times and just put it away, not looking at it. However, the fact it worked so well for me, a fluke, good luck, you all decide. I have however implemented a small charger in the truck to add some charge into it when driving. Since I don't drive it that often, it works for me. I also built in a AC system to trickle charge the battery several hours a day to keep it topped off!I keep the truck plugged in, unplug before I drive away!

I throw it on a charger once a month. I carry a bag of extra gear for work (USPS) so it’s always there for an emergency. I end up helping random people on my route more than actually needing it for myself.

I have a power block under the driver seat that powers my rechargeable flashlight, that jump pack, a spare cell phone (any cell phone can call 911 even one without service), a baofeng ht radio battery, and a little portable iPhone sized battery. Also keep an anker portable usb solar charger in the center console.

So mine is pretty much always charged

I top mine off every 6 months on the workbench, the same time I change the AC filter in the attic.
They say my AC filter lasts a year, but I change them every 3 or 6 months depending on the season..
I have an alert on my iPhone that reminds me.

My Audew jump starter isn't available anymore but this is the same thing..
Gave my Dad and future SIL one for Xmas last year..

Had good luck with Audew 2000A. I have one in each of vehicles. In the case of my 2021 Corolla I was about to leave work to go home and car wouldn’t start battery was almost 2 yrs old. This battery jump box allowed me to drive to Toyota to get a new battery. So it’s already paid for itself. It didn’t use much off the charge either.

Don't keep them in vehicles during the summer, especially in TX.

If we didn't already own, a nearly new, never used to boost yet, GB50, I'd go that route.

As for a second Tundra, doesn't make sense for us as daily commuters to work, in the city. Plus, the Rav makes up for the gas mileage I don't get on the truck.

My wife didn't want a truck as her daily driver. She got a brand new 2020 RAV4 a couple months after I got my 2019 Tundra. She had the options of Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander, Rav etc or whatever. I was hoping she'd choose a Tacoma, but it didn't happen. The Rav is a fun drive though.

Mine is the same way; she drove my Tundra for a bit while hers was down last year and didn't really care for driving a truck full time!

I bought two of these on sale several years ago - one for truck, one for car. Like them because fit in glove boxes. I've been shocked (pun intended) at how good they have been. Have boosted SUV, F250, zero turn and Kubota tractor. Just need to be patient, wait for green light.

Most recent boosted new2me Tundra after I spent too much time on accessory mode while setting up radar detector, dash cam, extra LEDs. Opps.

Pleasant surprise because fit exactly in the little cubby of glove box below spot for manuals, as if designed to fit there.

I have this exact one for several years - i had a bad battery for a while (new battery now)...always jumped the car when needed.

I still have a set of jumpers in the under seat storage, but they are emergency...

great product - recommend. they also have a larger one - but this one has worked just fin on my 5.7
