Rear end of jeep. Lots of cutting to do. Basically Chop off all factory control arm and shock mounts. Pia!

There's a high likelihood I'll be posting this truck for sale at a ridiculous markup after I'm done adding my touches. Same plan with the Jeep tbh lol. But it's also my hobby and I get ocd with some of my installs!

Jeep update: she's driving! Now that I can move it out of the garage, the Tundra build will start up in the next month.

So far things I definitely need to get for towing in the mountains, supercharger! Which I do have the main assembly of one, just need to get the fit kit. Also brake upgrades for sure. I did the stoptech 6 piston upgrade on the previous taco, and it's on the list for the Tundra. Also, if I'm trying to call this project low and tow, in gonna have to get custom leafs to replace factory ones. I have airbags for the lowering kit but I can tell that's not gonna be enough. Likely get a set of Alcans.

Finally got the Jeep finished enough to get it on some trails a few weekends now, and am listing it for sale! Hopefully enough to turn a profit. Having fun and making money were the point of that jeep. Here's the build thread https://www.jeepforum.com/threads/project-resurrection-jk-rubicon-bought-at-salvage-auction.4460077/

That means I can start working on the Tundra more and updating this thread more often! Tonight I gathered all of the parts sitting in the garage and starting unboxing. Gonna try and at least have the suspension components installed in next few weeks

Cleaning garage and testing how the tundra fits...I'm gonna need a bigger.garage!

Planning to install the 20 row setrab transmission cooler before I start on the lowering kit. Likely install it tomorrow

I'm sure some of that is for heat control but I got a supercharger going on and heat will be addressed at that time

Noticed a lot less creaking and noise coming from the front end since I removed this. Making me doubt it will ever go back on, even though I'd prefer it on.

I post in jest, hopefully you did as well! Welding the cover on would be pretty extreme. I’ve seen some threads about using poly or rubber spacer mounts to isolate the metals from each other to prevent squeaking. Good luck with this!

Good luck welding an aluminum skid plate onto a steel frame ;)

That 20 row Setrab has a lot more meat to it than my 15 row. Always wondered what difference one of the fan pack units would make, my trans ran about 10 degrees hotter over Santiam pass doing 35-40mph stuck behind a semi than 60-65mph.
