I still keep in contact with one of my old friends from when I lived in Washington; He still lives in Washington. This 1981

$260 Toyota SR5 TOYOTA Tundra Interior BURL Wood Dash Trim KIT Set 2003 2004 2005 2006

Toyota SR5 is currently his daily driver (and he also owns the FJ60)!

 

I stopped in at Lowes and parked near the black Tundra and came out to this Toy. It has a manual in it.

My friend from middle school lives out in Washington and has a couple of vintage Yotas; The head gasket in his 1981 pickup shit the bed (no damage to engine), and he replaced it himself. These are the pictures he sent me!

 

1982 Toyota Sunraider camper; I actually saw this same truck at the same dealer over two years ago (before the COVID pandemic was even a thing), but I got some better pictures this time around!

It was registered in Oregon back in 2020, which initially led me to believe that it had a new owner who bought it there and was getting it serviced, but it is still registered in Oregon in 2022; This makes me think that the owner lives in Oregon, travels the country, and either has some sort of familial connection in Bucks County and/or really trusts this dealership...

 

I could not tell if it had cab/dashboard A/C, but it definitely did not seem to have a rooftop A/C unit for the camper part...

 

This seems to be a mishmash of a 1989-1994 pickup, a 1993-1998 T-100, and a 1995-1997 Tacoma; I think it most closely resembles a T-100...

This one kinda looks like a 1970s Toyota Chinook camper...

 

1989 Toyota pickup; No A/C, no power steering, no rear bumper, factory radio delete...

It has power brakes and a heater, which were of course standard; Literally the cheapest Toyota truck you could buy in 1989, and I love it!

Saw this on the highway somewhere in Northern California during a family vacation back in March 2009!

 

I actually found pictures of the only other truly no-frills Toyota truck that I've ever seen in person, taking during a trip to Northern California back in 2009! Specifically, the pictures were taken at the Nepenthe restaurant in Big Sur; Like the white 1989 I saw a couple of weeks ago, this red truck has no A/C, no rear bumper, and not even a radio!

I was actually taking pictures of a red RC 2WD Tacoma that I saw in the parking lot when another guy saw my TOYOTA hat and pointed me towards this truck.

1989 Toyota 4x4 with a custom wood bed; It apparently has a remanufactured 2.4L with less than 40K miles. It also has factory A/C! This truck seemed to be mint, though I didn't look at the frame, and I believe that the bed was likely replaced because it rusted out...

Originally a thread called I met this guy at a gas station...

After the Cars & Coffee, I stopped for gas and junk food at a nearby Wawa, and the owner of this 1992 XtraCab 4x4 V6 drove up to me with the intention of asking me about my own truck! Believe it or not, this thing is an Ohio truck its whole life! The previous owner took incredibly good care of it and had piles of maintenance records. The truck is rather sparsely optioned, but still quite well-equipped; It has A/C, tilt steering, intermittent wipers, and cloth seats. The only thing not stock about it is the stereo system.
