    Hello everyone,
Finally geoaround to paining my Valhalla skid plates/cat shields and have a few questions.

I am rattle canning them with rustoleum. I bought primer as well and primed everything up today. My question is I ran out of primer before I was able to do 3 coats on the last plate (I was able to 3 coats on one side and about 1 and a 1/2 on the other). Should I go get another can of primer or should I just start painting? Not sure if I’m over thinking this.
    Thanks,
    MDUplander

    Tastefully enhanced...
Did you scuff 'em up first? I think you'll be alright with your 1.5 laps of primer one side...just have enough actual paint to be consistent on your passes...

Do you have good coverage? As long as you have the bare metal covered with primer. I would think you are fine.

I painted my with quart can rust oleum. after two years some slight rust around some of the expanded metal openings. who cares. its under the truck. I wish I could smear shit on them and have it stay in case anyone ever wanted to take them off. I ground all my edges with a grinder to make as sharp as possible. I like to think of it as a special treat for a thief
