    Hey gang.
Here’s my next build project. (I tried going back to my old gm truck forum-and it suck’s compared to us!)
Sold my bagged reg cab ls squarebody as it was too small for my family to fit in. So I picked up this fully loaded 87 burb for $800 in the fall from a buddy of mine.
Needs some work to get it where I want it. First off, I replaced all the old leaky coolant hoses and a bunk fuel pump. Got it running and driving enough to call it for time being. It is running rich so have a few more things to check into before it’s road worthy for this summer. I’ve given it a tune up with new fluids, plugs (compression tested as well), fuel/air filters, o2 sensor, and a coolant temp sensor. Next on the tuning list is a tbi rebuild clean/inspection.
Next, I’ve started a 6/6” static suspension drop on it. I replaced the ball joints and installed 3” lowering spindles, 3” drop coils up along with new shocks up front. The rear will be getting an axle flip and I’ll fab frame notches to make room with new shocks.
For wheels I have 22” gm transports and 245/30r22 tires. The wheels will need to be painted the body white before installing tires.
I have a set of 6-bolt conversion rotors for the front and a 2001 3.73 posi axle with discs I’ll slap under the rear. Should help out with the braking situation in a serious way. Once the truck is legit road worthy, I’ll start on body work. The truck is in really good shape other than the driver side must have been in an accident at one point and half-ass repaired. I’ll need a drivers front fender, door and rear quarter panel. It needs rocket panels and a passenger side rear barn door as it’s rusted. Luckily the interior on this truck is mint!
The icing on the cake is the 5.3 ls and 4l80e I have sitting in the yard patently waiting. I’ll fab a turbo setup and install a cam before slapping this into the truck.

Agreed, all other forums suck. I have build threads on "relevant" forums for the buggy and the Hilux but they get absolutely zero attention there. Tundras is life.

Finished the front drop last night. This is the ride height of the front. I’m stoked.

I’m not fully done the front yet though.
I’m going to drill the front rotors out to swap from 7/16” to 14mm studs so they match the rear axle. These wheels are designed for 14mm studs as well. Need to put brake pads back in too. I also have a poly sway bar bushing kit coming for it.

My Tundra stock height 4WD, probably keep it there, but the project that'll outlive me is a '38 Chevy 4 door. I finished the frame and suspension before kids, then stopped for the higher priority. C-notched the frame and air bags...If I ever finish it, it'll be about 2" off the ground, slammed...I love that look!

Rad! I love lowriders-have ever since I’ve been able to breath haha. Here is a shot of my last (and first) build. Sold it in the fall for some more doors!

Easy part is done. Out with the garbage!

I need a few parts for the rear end before I get ahead of myself and put it back under the truck. I need to get dust plates, calliper brackets and mount the brakes to it first.

The low rider thing isn’t for me, but I appreciate what goes into them. Godspeed, @Mountun Goat - this looks fun
