My brothers and I are planning a backpacking trip in Colorado for the first week of July. We are considering riding the train from Silverton to Needleton then hiking into the Chicago Basin. We have all done a fair amount of camping, climbing, and hiking in Colorado, but are not very familiar with this area. Do any of you Colorado guys have any advice?

I've never been to that part of the state, sorry. I usually backpack west of boulder by Nederland. Sorry Brandon.
