Got tired of hearing "no" from other folks about how their shields wouldn't fit my 2021 SR5 4WD w/ 4" lift.

Found this place in Katy, Texas. Veteran-owned, family business that actually cares about customer satisfaction. And they have inventory! Will ship or sell direct from the shop; aluminum or steel, black or bare. They have "front only" & "total coverage" shields.

Looked at the company online, but the website didn't list any specifics or pricing. What did you pay through them?

Yeah, I found them on ebay, which offers more info. "Krtor" is their seller name, if you want to see their stuff. They have the basic front cover for $300 & the total coverage one for $400, I think. Includes theft-preventative hardware. Really good peeps - installed mine for me.

Nothing like knock-offs from a design that is already out there.

Oooooo, let's carbon-date everyone's stuff to decide who the real innovator is! There must be some prize for being the first, as it appears to be such a concern of yours, no? Weak.

The reason it was mentioned is because there are knockoffs of these plates and there has been issues with unauthorized vendors that got themselves banned from the forum.

I can appreciate your position on this. However, as fast a folks are getting their CATs swiped; and at the expense (several thousand is no joke); and at the delay to get it fixed (months is ridiculous); and at the backlog of the "approved" vendors to get their products out... What's the harm in a member posting about other available offerings??

It would be a completely different scenario if, let's say, an approved vendor was burglarized and the thief was then attempting to sell the stolen goods on the forum... Just my 2 cents

It does totally make sense because the theft is so high. I just remember that there was some issues several months back that resulted in a "new vendor" getting banned.

I wouldn't go that far. All the cat plates are gonna be essentially the same, with a few variations here and there, you can't make a completely new and innovative plate for this purpose without it looking somewhat identical to someone elses, since it has to perform the exact same function and cover the cats completely.

Kinda like tires. They're all the essentially the same. But different tread, etc ( not an apples to apples comparison obviously) if one tire brand is backlogged and you can't get a set, you go with a different brand. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm aware of the vendor issue with Valhalla shields and the rip off of his design by a former employee/business partner

I made my own plate, once I finally pop some cooling holes in it, it'll look like everything else out there
