I nabbed one on dashcam in my neighborhood a few weeks back. Handed off to local precinct. Never went anywhere.

Sequoia's have 4.10's. 04 double cab with the original rear end and tow package should be 4.10's as well. You can check your vin on the toyota owners site to see if it lists 4.10's (or call a parts dept).

Bigger tires is the same as taller gears = worse acceleration. You may want to reset the ECU and clean the throttle body. Slow response may be a sticky throttle body.

Waiting to hear back from energy suspension whether the 8103, 8105, 8107 or 8109 body mounts for the taco and t100 are compatible with my 02 tundra. Looks like I’ll have to buy the whole kit as they’re not sold individually.

This is interesting, my 06 double cab flat out flies compared to my wife’s 07 sequoia.

the dc is on 285/75/16s, 16x8 methods, leveled with coil overs. 160k on the clock. Max tow package

the sequoia is on 275/70/17s, 17x8.5 kmc’s, lifted 2.5 inches. 240k on the clock but motors been gone through top to bottom. Also has dirty deeds 12 hole injectors

Hell, after 3 years of sitting.. not being registered, nor driven, my poor 4Runner got resurrected. Needed a old style, run her up on a dyno, stick a probe up the old girls ass..... and DMV accepted the renewal ONLINE! SWEET!

    I PASSED!!!

'95. I bought it new after my '93 was blown out from under me in a T-bone accident that totaled it! Still looks good, but on the fence if I want to sell it!

I thought after 25 years it didn't need that anymore? Or is that just the normal states? Hell, I don't even have emissions where I live, and you get inspections at the gas station by kids who can't drive stick so they just pass it.

No, here in CA, every other year.
Cities, states and counties that require smog and emissions tests for DMV car registration determine which testing method or combination of methods to use. Current testing methods include:

    • Two-speed idle (TSI) – this test analyzes exhaust emissions from the tailpipe as the engine idles first at high, and then at low speed, and is usually for older cars registered before 1995.
    • Acceleration simulation mode (ASM) – Again, most often reserved for older vehicles, the ASM test measures emissions under simulated driving conditions using a dynamometer.
    • On-board diagnostics (OBDI) – During this test, information is downloaded from the vehicle’s on-board diagnostics computer.
The 4Runner is OBD1 so the need for the Dyno test!
While I've enjoyed CA quite a bit the last 42 years, it's time to GTFO!

One of my SHOs came from CA, so it has an EGR valve on the intake it's constantly throwing a code for it. I'd never pass there with that car. Well, that and the aftermarket intake and exhaust.

Thankfully, with OBDII, it's a plug & play, visual inspection, read OBDII, pay... less than the Dyno test!

So I was rescrolling threw looking for the type of wheel spacers on of y'all mentioned for me to use on my 00 2WD Limited. All I need are some 1inch spacers, just sick of fighting with these lug studs.

Uh, count your blessings. I have to get tested yearly. Truth is, while gas is expensive over there, taxes are considerable, property cost is higher, cards are stacked more equally in your favor in CA to continue gaining wealth than, say, TX or GA. But that's another story.

I've got to go in for my yearly emissions in the next couple of weeks. Which naturally means, my truck will inevitably throw a code in the next 10-12 days.

I bought a crappy BT code reader today. Because convenience is nice. Tempted to do another scangauge but I like the simplicity of the ‘05 having zero extra buttons / switches.
