The trim rings (bead lock) are missing. Looked for a second to find that replacements are less than plentiful. SHould I pass on them at $300?

I don't think I would pay 300 for a set with missing beadlock rings. Those are the personality of the wheel.

I would assume those trim rings/beadlocks are necessary, but I dont know for certain. I'm more concerned about a set of wheels that normally fetch $300-500 per wheel going for a total of $300. These are likely hhhhaaaawwwwwtttt.. :bananadead: Buyer beware, imo.

I doubt that. I just think the original owner isnt a Tundra Geek like us and doesnt know that the wheels were semi valuable before he lost the beadlocks. lol

Another issue is the missing bolts that hold the rings on. From what I understand, those are specific to those wheels and are tough to come by as well. Maybe look on FB marketplace and you could try the Land Cruiser Forum ih8mud. Those guys are big into RW wheels. Might be able to find someone looking to get rid of a set. Good luck.

I picked up a set of used RW wheels locally a couple weeks ago ... I feel like I hit the lottery or something.

Parts are extremely hard to come by now, so despite the amount of effort it took for me to clean them up, I'm glad that at least they were complete. I had to buy a dozen overpriced ($35) OEM bolts for the faux bead lock rings, since I destroyed a few in the process of taking them off to clean things up ... they were corroded/seized and no amount of heat, pounding, or impact tools would remove a few of them.

The center caps were pretty bad, so I took a Dremel to them to clear the pitting/rust and just sprayed them with PlastiDip.

I would not even consider buying partial RW wheels at this point ... you'll have a helluva time finding center caps, rings, and bolts at this point (at least I did) and pay a small fortune IF you do.

Yeah I am thinking it would be an exercise in futility to try to complete the setup.
