    Hey everyone!

I recently installed the Putco Blade model 92009-60 and used the Curt wire harness 55384. I mounted everything per multiple threads/videos, hardwired the reverse light into the 7th pin wire, plugged in adapters and the 4 prong pin.

Zipped tied everything down, turned on the truck and am not getting anything. No lights no flashing, no constant on, nothing.

I read about a device that could check my output on the 4-pin trailer hookup. Going to get that device and ensure I am getting power, but in the meantime does anyone know where the fuse is for these connections and what size it may be.

I am also open to other troubleshooting suggestions.

    2016 Tundra 1794 4WD

    Thanks in advance.

Without some pictures its kinda of hard to figure out how you have wired everything. Which 4 pin are you connecting the Blade to? The one on the bumper or the one on the curt harness? How did you wire into the 7th pin? Have you check the grounding?

Just a couple thoughts. Hopefully that helps.

I unplugged the 7-pin from the bumper and plugged it into the Curt. Then plugged the curt into the bumper. Plugged the 4-pin into the light bar.

I spliced into the center wire of the 7 pin Curt harness and sodered (sp?) in the reverse light wire running from the light bar.

FEAR NOT!! I have fixed this issue!!!

the factory wire harness had a loose connection inside the molex. I shoved it back into its home, plugged the harness back in and BAM! Light works now.

    thanks to all who helped

Awesome! Glad you got it working. I connected my OPT7 Redline bar the same way. It has been working great for several months. I looked at the putco, but the price scared me away. Also, I wanted sequential turn signals. I mounted mine with magnets so I can remove it easily to clean the tailgate gap or if I need to access the spare tire.

The magnets idea is solid! Have you had any issues with movement?

Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
Use silicone tape between the magnet and the paint. I also used stoppers to prevent downward travel of the bar. There are four holes you can use for the stoppers.

These are the magnets I used.

They hold it pretty well. Sometimes I need to slide it back up just a tad after roughhousing it or going through a touchless car wash. Like @Saltyhero13 said though, keep something between the magnets and your paint. I left the red strip from the OPT7’s 3M tape there and slid the magnets in behind it.
