I require a PNP harness for my 2014 Tundra Limited. I would like to retain the amber DRL/signal light and prefer the dimming option. Would you have this available...ready to order.

    Thanks...

    (Copied from the WHYDTY2.5GT thread)

Installed 2019 TRD Pro OEM LED headlights on the G-wagon. Can’t wait to drive with them at night. Already lit up the garage door (where I aligned them) way more. Very special thank you to @iHacker and his fine wiring products, advice, and answers to my questions.

    Driver’s side in place.

    Both in place

    DRLs

    lows on:
    Didn’t do a hi-beam shot because I wasn’t shooting night/performance shots.
Also had a minor heart attack when I got both lights in place before I reattached the grille (and reconnected the TSS plug). I just wanted to check to make sure I connected everything properly before I put the grille back. The message center was flashing “go to the dealer, TSS faulty / failure” or whatever. Reconnected it and everything was fine.

    Update:

just drove up and down my road in the dark. Holy smokes these lights are absolutely incredible. Lows are crystal clear illuminating everything you need w/o scatter. Brights are better than my old Philips led bulbs with a 30” light bar in the bumper valence. Tighter pattern too.
Really one of the best upgrades you can do for your tundras (if you’re on the fence).

4C05B0F2-0E58-4CFD-8114-EAFC78883FCB.jpg Ihacker was great with communication and getting the harness out to me right away. The dealership took a month to get my lights to me. I just received the lights today and opened the boxes. One light looks fine, the other has excessive glue everywhere. It was even on the lens. I picked it off with my nail. It even looks a little scuffed. I think I can clean it all off. Should I be concerned or do you guys think it’s fine?

If you can get a replacement do it, I don’t think the glue excess should be a problem but the scuffs in the lenses are very noticeable for my taste. With the time oxidation will make its way into the lenses causing faded spots or yellowish marks

Sent you a PM, I think. I need a harness for a 2014 w/o led drl. I’ll take either the dim or no dim if you have either one! I’m willing to pay extra if you can have it to me by Tuesday!

The obligatory before and after photos. Ihacker was a pleasure to deal with and the quality of his harness, communication, and instructions was top shelf. Highly recommend.

I decided to try to freshen up the old 2014 given the current car market and issues with the 2022 Tundras. Half way through the install I was thinking maybe not my brightest idea lol but the first time I drove at night, what a difference. The truck looks almost new and I can see so much better. The stock halogens are pretty bad. The only bad thing is now I have the upgrade bug. I’ll be installing LED tail lights today to match along with a list of other mods I’m about to pull the trigger on.

ihacker, the man with the touch. I mean this dude is tightening up all these rides and making them look as good as they do out of factory. With a little elbow grease by us too! Thanks ihacker, everything went flawless. Perfect instructions and even better than expected results.

Installed the dimming harness today, worked like a charm! Like others, I was not able to depin the grey wire, so I just cut and soldered it to the harness. New truck looks awesome with the new lights!

Just did it on my 16 SR5 today. Took a couple of hours fighting the inside and outside rubber boots at the firewall and depinning challenges. Very happy with the new look and no amber DRLs. @iHacker, you are the man! Great harnesses! Thank you!

@iHacker, I have a strong technical background myself, and I’m well versed in electrical work such as this. Based on the pictures showing all your handiwork I just have to say that your work looks clean and very professional IMO. I debated on making the harness myself for my 2015 SR5 -> 2019 TRD Pro headlight swap, but after reading the positive reviews I want to buy from you now. Great technical write-up @iHacker! PM sent for my harness.

Back of new TRD Pro Headlights with !Hacker harness attached and ready to install. Have 2016 Platinum, so it was the easiest plug and play option.

    Help needed:

Not sure if anyone in the Georgia/South Carolina/North Carolina area has personally installed the harness with the factory dimming option? I’m not the best with electric stuff so I don’t want to mess anything up. So basically asking if anyone is willing to help? I will come to you since I’m casting such a wide net for the area. I live near Savannah but drive to SC and NC often.

I will supply beer and pizza and willing to pay you for your time and help.

    Thanks
    Edsel

    Good Morning.

First off, thank you iHacker for the harness. I Completed my install of the non-dimming harness and new LED headlights. I went with non-dimming for now since I've never done mods that require going through the firewall and modifying the plugs under the dash. I may consider trying the dimming harness at a later date but for now I am good with this setup. Also installed the color match grill, hood bulge, door handles and mirror caps. I may change the chrome bumper caps sometime in the future.

Quick question, I followed the steps for the headlight leveling and my new LED headlights cutoffs were very close to my halogen markings. I noticed the passenger side is slightly higher, not too much. I know with some headlights this is done on purpose to light up the signs, etc. on the right side. Is this standard or should the aiming be even level/even for both? I prefer not to mess with the new headlight aiming if this is standard. Thanks!

Also, glad this is finally done. I was hoping for cooler weather but no luck. The Houston humidity and heat is brutal right now, even at 6:00am when I started but I am glad it's done.

Next I would get some cat protection. I've heard that Houston is a hot bed for cat thieves. Truck looks great! I will be installing mine this coming week.

Truck looks great buddy, and yes the passenger side is always higher a little bit for the reasons you mentioned so you are good to go.

Thanks. You're correct, Houston CC theft is crazy. My catalytic converter protection is completed as of this past Friday. When I bought the truck two weeks ago, it came with the add-a-cat shield from the dealer. My only concern was the shield left the two rear CCs exposed. So I was limiting the use of the truck until I figured out how to protect the rears as well. I saw a post from another member re CC protection about a local Toyota Mechanic Indy shop near Houston that sells a one piece construction shield. This past Friday, I went to the shop and they installed the one piece shield that covers the fronts and rears. While I was at the shop they also installed my OEM LED fog lights. I figured it was easy for them while the truck was on the lift. They had all work done in less than 45 minutes.

I decided to go with the one construction shield instead of trying to combine a rear shield from another seller with the one that came on the truck.

Well a little disappointed this morning: when to install my 2019 LED headlights with the @iHackerharness and I’m not able to take off the grill because LP9s on the C4 bumper. So going to have to wait until December to get them installed by the shop that is installing the AT Overland Summit. Such a bummer.

    Hello,

The yellow light is on while driving. Anyway I can make it so it doesn't stay on. It turns on as soon as the parking brake is released it seems.

To deactivate for complete the Amber lights you have to do the Amber DRL delete mod
