I have a 2014 Tundra CrewMax limited. I purchased my truck used in 2017. Ever since Ive had it the head unit occasionally freezes. There will be times it happens multiple times a week and there will be times that in doesnt happen for a couple weeks at a time. Ive read that it was an issue for that year model. Does anyone else have this issue and what can be done to resolve it?

I had that issue on my 2016, 2019 Tundras and 2017 4Runner. Solution: Go aftermarket.

I've had that issue with my '14 Highlander...recently updated the firmware and although I can't swear it fixed it (the car doesn't get driven much) it's not happened since.

Same experience as @jeffw6236 on my 2017. Random freeze / resets - especially when when receiving a call on the connected phone. I replaced it with a Kenwood HU.

The stock HU in Tundras are not great, if you are having any issue you will be much happier with an aftermarket replacement
