It's this actual graphic on crack.

I have it sitting at the house, flattening out but I'm doubting more and more that I'm going to put it on

Hello hello, I'm in need of some assistance or if someone can point me in the right direction it'd be appreciated. I debadged the truck a few days ago and ran into an issue with the iforce badge on the driver's side.

I guess some water got stuck behind the badging and bubbled or lossened the paint, so removing it also removed the paint down to the primer coat.

I cleaned, sanded, and have been applying touch up paint over the last few days to build up the layers. I have spray cans of paint and areasol coming in today to finish off and make it blend alittle better since it's in a particularly noticeable spot.

On the right track or out to lunch here?

You probably need to wet sand between coats to smooth it out and blend it in. Your final top coat will need a polish. If the spot is fairly small then you can apply the tough up paint and then knock it down with different polishing compounds. I am not and expert but there are some good videos on touching up.

But wait... stickers and decals add at least 5 hersepowers each. If'n ya ain't got not decals, then ya ain't gots no power!

I haven't tried removing decals yet, but the bulky ones (Tundra on the doors, 5.7 badge on fender) annoy the hell out of me simply because they're a bitch to clean around - especially inside the block Tundra letters on the doors. The TSS sticker doesn't bother me since it sits flush and is easy to wash/wax over. That said, I'd rather they not be there. I'm just lazy and part of me is afraid my typical dumbass self (or plain bad luck) would show up and make a mess of at least one during removal - which would naturally include expensive to fix paint damage.

I have a few decals on mine. nothing that massively stands out and they are all in white.

The decals that really piss me off, however, are the dealer advertising decals. I hate the dealer branding on a vehicle.

I have always de-badged my vehicles. I like a clean look. My SR model only had a small chrome 4x4 decal on the tailgate, that was off asap the first day and upon purchase I told the dealer no dealer stickers. I can’t stand that and surprised how many people drive around with advertising on their vehicles.

TSS sticker comes off fairly easily with a 3M eraser wheel.
That was the first thing I removed when I bought my truck..

    I kept my iforce badge.
    Don't want anyone thinking I'm driving a 4.6..:eek2:

I didn't want to post pics here cuz all the slow white Tundra truck owners would get jealous and flood the used market with slow white Tundras, which may cause resale value issues for others that don't have the slow model Tundra.

I did eventually add one decal. Well, two actually, one on each side.

Well yeah everyone knows the white ones are slowest. And the black ones are practically race trucks.

This EXACT same thing happened to me. Hence how I found this thread. As soon as I hit it with the heat gun, water started streaming down the door. It would've rusted faster if we had left the badge on. And mine was on the driver side too! That crap they used is like cement!

I'm in need of some clearcoat. I need to start applying the touch up paint to it STAT. And since it seems like a real PITA to get it back to normal, I think I'll look a sticker or different emblem to put there...
