i read the entire thing. Hopefully you get started on it again soon. i would have body dropped it (sectioned it) over the frame about 6 more inches and had the motor sticking through the hood some. Would have covered some of the exposed frame too, but overall, this thing is fucking awesome. Screw them VW haters on vortex. I 2jz swapped a '69 ford f100 and you would have thought guys heads were going to explode. I love it.

we decided after the 3rd house deal fell through we’re staying, so I’m starting to unpack and got this bad boy jammed in my garage to get back to work!

have you met any real VW enthusiasts? They’re all usually the kind of neighbors I wouldn’t have at my BBQ

 I have a couple VW enthusiast friends, they're in recovery though. The guys I know were into building vintage bugs, buses and ghias, probably a very different mindset.

I noticed your buddy with the Jeep had a Prestige Motors frame around his license plate. You in Kingston? Lived there many many years ago, like long before you were born (early 60s). Still have a few old friends in the area though, and I do mean "old." Maybe some of those neighbors you mentioned.

Hey guys! Just figured I’d bring you up to speed.
Not much has been accomplish honestly, I managed to free up the stuck window cranks and get the trunk to shut (woohoo right?)

here she is staring at me everyday 9FA675C6-71C8-4ECD-938B-AA7215A541A1.jpgsuper glad I took the time to put the rig inside because we had a tree limb come down clip the corner of the garage and smack my woman’s car a little. The branch landed right where I planned to leave the Jetta for the winter wrapped in a tarp.

Sold the mini van and bought a rust free 1994 pickup from Texas  turned out it needed a lot of work so now it’s got a new Toyota head LC pro torquer and dual valve springs also shimmed a OEM Toyota oil pump.

we also got the wife a used Mercedes to replace the es350.

you can tell which new ride I’m really excited about ^^^

So today I figured is a good time to mess with the Jetta! Loaded up the radiator support and brought it to my job to cut up with the plasma cutter!

now that “spring” is here and insurance is figured out I’m hoping to get back on this project!!! Thanks for sticking around

After an hour of messing with the plasma cutter this is where I’m at, I need to find all the hardware I had boxed up so I can bolt the fenders on to test fit better. I know I’ll be cutting a lot more out

You heard correct, life, homeownership, and having a kid has forced me to post it up for sale.
Not much interest in it being posted on Facebook marketplace and other sites… I feel like 2k is a steal for what it is.
Located upstate NY 12401 if anyone is interested I actually really need it gone by summer 23

What exactly was wrong with the Tundra? And will your creation be titled as a Toyota Tundra or a Volkswagen Jetta?

The truck had 500k and was constantly under the knife so it lost its title as the daily/work truck.
I have the title for the Jetta and as long as seating capacity isn’t modified you can register it as such
