East valley paint shop recommendations

Got my truck today and on the search for a paint shop to help with chrome delete. Needing to match voodoo blue. I'm in East Mesa. San Tan, queen creek area works too. Thanks!

 

Rob at Arizona Collision Center used to do color matching over chrome, but he stopped a year or two ago. This is just a guess, but my assumption is that the paint wouldn’t hold over the fake chrome. I did a DIY attempt at this and even with decent prep work, the paint flaked off from bug and rock hits.

If you want to do it right, hit up Chad at AutoNation Tempe in the parts dept, tell him you’re part of AZTG (the Facebook Tundras group), and he can get you set up with color matched OEM parts.

If you want to remove the chrome badges from the truck, that can be accomplished with a hair dryer or heat gun.

Several member have done it on their trucks, including me.

We ended up ordering the grill from a local dealer, got the mirror caps off eBay and got a quote to prep and paint existing bumper caps and door handles from Arizona Collision Center. I think it will all come together nicely!

 

They are a bit far from me, so I went with the shop in Tempe

 

I wanted to thank you for the recommendations, I went to Arizona Collision Center and a dude named Travis did the chrome delete for me. Did my bumper caps and paint matched the door handles and it turned out great. He recommended getting paint protector installed on the caps to protect from rock chipping but said he has never had any chrome delete come back because the process worked so well.

now I just need to do something about the wheels and tires

Specifically larger tires and a TRD rear sway bar. I can't tell from your picture what size wheels you have, but the tires I am selling are for 18" wheels.

 

Dude thats pretty tempting, I do like the KO2’s but looking for 265 to stick around the size of 33’s. I have 18’s but I hate my wheels so I’m trying to be patient and see if deals pop up for some nice black TRD pro wheels.

I also checked Craigslist, OfferUp and FB Market place until I was able to secure myself 8 TRD Pro wheels...

 

Yea i missed a set that was selling for $1000 my husband even talked to the guy just ended up getting stuck in a meeting and couldn’t get there fast enough.

i may end up doing BLUATAT I’ll think on the sway bar and let ya know.
