    Hey All,
Got my truck last year, had to fix many problems right off the bat: starter, fuel pump, wrong oil filter, coolant leak, etc. Took it to a shop, but I still have a coolant leak. Since then I've tried to learn how to do more things myself to save money because those repairs were very expensive.

Currently, if I fill the coolant reservoir to max, within a month the coolant drops to the low line and hovers at that level for a long time. Whenever I check the radiator, there is plenty in there and the cap seems tight. Never an issue with overheating. Went underneath to check out my sway bar bushings and body mounts today and noticed dried coolant near the transmission pan. Dried coolant looks new and not crazy caked on like my old leak looked in the engine bay.

Pics should be attached. Would appreciate any help. My best guess is that the radiator has cracks I can't see and the fan is blowing the coolant back onto this stuff. Either that or the shop messed up their previous repairs which included: replacing intake manifold gasket, throttle body mount gasket, remove and resealing coolant outlet housing, many gaskets and thermostat. I wanted y'alls opinion to see if should take it to the shop or just swap out the radiator which I could do myself no problem.

Sorry to hear of your troubles

I would say to start simple

Replace your radiator for pace of mind sake and so you know it’s not something the shop did

If it still leaks…..personally I would find another shop to double check the “previous” shops work

If there are issues found, present the findings to the “previous shop” and have them fixed on their dime since you’ve paid before

Thanks for the response. Yea I think I will replace the radiator at the same time I slap the new offroad bumper on it. The denso radiator is cheap enough and the work seems simple.
I will take your advice to take it to a second shop for an inspection. Man I hope there aren't other things to fix. I was considering replacing the water pump while I do the radiator.

AISIN is the OEM manufacturer of most Toyota parts. I believe Rock Auto and Aza-mom sell AISIN parts.

I used an Aisin water pump on my wife’s 5.7 last year without issue.

In case anyone is still following this thread or finds it later, I am about 90% sure it is the same issue as this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnUL0GR6mfs
Heat exchanger seal is probably busted. Also have a small water pump leak. I have no problem doing the water pump myself but I'm going to have a local shop do the heat exchanger reseal. Will update if this ends up being correct
