That is FREAKING INSANE. The Lowe's guys are insane. You are insane.

I mean, I could go on, it's only 3 miles, make multiple trips.

You should have pulled yourself over and given yourself a ticket.

Not judging you or trying to give you crap, but you are definitely out of your mind. I can't even believe you posted that.

Were you drinking? [That would explain it.] Is this a real story?

    Never mind ...

Sad thing is my state probably would not do anything to him for that short of a distance if the load is strapped down. I am not saying I condone it but you wouldn't believe the crap I have seen fly here. I think my favorite is a Ram 1500 squatting bad hauling a 5th wheel camper you would see a dually tow. DOT didn't touch him and simply passed him on I-70 between Topeka and Kansas City.

I am an idiot [just want to get that out there:D], and even I know without thinking about it deeply that significantly overloading your truck's payload capacity is a really bad idea.

    A couple thoughts:

    • This is how shit gets broke and tore up.
    • This is how accidents happen [everything's cool until shit gets real].
    • Other people beside the idiot in the overloaded truck can die in the accident.
    • PULL A FREAKING TRAILER!
    • HAVE IT DELIVERED!
    Whatever ...

I agree with you @TundraDude18 and the unfortunate thing is some things require an accident for things to either be enforced or learned.

Good looking rig. Now that walk plank would make me nervous as hell. Lol

@Darthinvader48 don’t feel bad and I’m not trying to show you up or anything but regularly when I’m lazy I throw a pallet of shingles in my bed Instead of the dump trailer. 80lb per bundle and 36 bundles per pallet. Shingle total is 2880 plus accessories. Toolbox, nails, ice and water, paper, compressor. It’s easily 3200lbs in the bed. When I hook up my dump trailer I do 2-2.5pallets In it so it’s up to 8k roughly plus the trailer.

@Prostar 190 thank you. This is my regular plank due to its size. It’s 18”x24’ which isn’t to bad. I do have another that’s 24”x32’ and it’s almost to long. When I carry them all it’s a slow trip. Worried about taking out telephone poles.
Last night was a first. I tried to get into 3 different parking garages and I was 6” to tall for them all. Damn lift did me in.

Last summer I was next to a Volvo ((car)) towing a camper. Maybe 12-16 feet long. It wasn’t a small camper and it was a small car dragging it’s pos class one hitch down the road. Now if you get out of our guinea town and into the middle of Rhode Island dot will pull every rig over they can with or without reason

Picked up a yard and a half of some mulch today. Did my research and figured out it should weigh around 1,200lbs. I've only had the truck for a few months now, and it was nice to put it to work. 20200309_171131.jpg 20200309_171155.jpg

Hauled a couple loads of rocks and boulders for a landscaping project. Truck did exceptionally well hauling the loads. Kept it in Tow Haul and S-mode to avoid any lugging going up the hills around my house. Definitely knew the load was back there during braking...even with down shifting. Overall was very happy with how the Tundra handled the load. (You could hear the truck coming up those hills with my BA Muffler Exhaust System).

Here's the Tundra with a 17' canoe and two proper sit-in kayaks (a 14' and an 11'er) on the rack, with a box full of supplies for a 4 day wilderness trip, and 4 guys in the cab. CM Tundra is the perfect vehicle for this kind of trip. Plenty of space and comfort for everybody and everything, and of the 4 vehicles available from the guys on the trip (A Honda Civic, Honda Pilot, and a Tiguan), taking the Tundra was the easy choice.

Here's the Tundra at the place where it's spotted the most - the gas pump!

Whats the best way to haul 25-30ft of something without having to drag my trailer out here?

tie it to the hitch and some crossmembers? I dont wanna cut or bend this antique drill rod.

yea, trailer would be best, but has anyone hauled anything under the truck? I have some orange safety flags.

Had the heavy stuff underneath the chair’s. That squatted it 1 3/4” before I hooked up the camper. Plus what I had in the back seat area. I may need some airbags, add a leaf or different leaf packs. 4C6CEC65-CAE5-4822-B2E5-323F7F456E5F.jpg

My better 1/2 keep me busy today. After unpacking from the camping trip, picked up the cat from boarding. Then went and got black mulch. I got it started. I’ll finish it up tomorrow. B10D1D30-5B2A-4124-912E-D6BCCF4CC7A3.jpg
