Spent the weekend installing the Fox shocks on my 16 Double Cab. Shout out to @pandapro. Good sale and pick up from the marketplace here.

Overall super happy with the ride quality and lift it gave the truck. Definitely has a softer feel to it. I am excited go on some trails soon and see how they do.

I do have an issue with the sway bar link hitting the shock body. Looks like other people on here have had the same issue. Can’t decide between shaving down the link other options, new sway bar ? Or different links? You can see it in the photo below. Open to suggestions.

Next up I am considering adding that RXT Icon leaf pack and CB +2s for the rear to keep me level with extra weight like the RTT and camping gear. I haven’t tested it yet but I am expecting some sag with the softer rear springs. If anyone has opinions on those upgrades for the rear I am all ears.

    Photo dump:

Also threw on the lower grill LED bar I got from Hoologan on here. That bumper was a PITA to get off because of the limited space and need for a ratchet wrench to get to the main bolts. I feel like the studs do not have to be so long..F95B5D05-CB47-453A-86F2-C36F4AB2E2C9.jpgBefore Lift. 085A431B-8396-41EF-8449-D859BEA1A3D1.jpg That s the sway bar link makes contact with the black cone section of the shock sometimes while driving.

That's odd that its making contact, I just had my pro suspension installed and will need to see if its doing the same thing. Didn't know about this issue.

If you just go under you’d be able to see a scuff mark from the link and the shock body. It wasn’t bad, but something I’d like to find a way to prevent.

Checked mine this evening, only had the suspension 2 days but no marks thus far. That end link sure is close to the shock though on the drivers side. Passenger side seems to have a lot more room.

Glad the ride has improved with the shocks! Looks sharp

Question regarding TRD Pro suspension, are the shocks the only thing that make it "TRD Pro" suspension? I've heard that phrase tossed around quite often. Wasn't sure if there were differences in UCA, LCA, bushings, etc. that would make it "TRD Pro" suspension.

All of the other parts are the same, The only difference being these Fox shocks on new TRD Pro models. I got mine from a member on here who took them off his pro.

I did after some reading on here. Haven’t driven it much since the alignment isn’t done yet but I’ll be interested to feel how it rides now.
Schwab wouldn’t align it because if a little play in my steering rack, taking it to another shop on Friday

Looks great! You can remove the haze from those headlights with a little polish, a microfiber towel, and some elbow grease. :D

Update: got to test them out on the trails out in northern Nevada today… big upgrade from the stock suspension, comfy ride on rocky trails and much better at speed on the dirt roads. Handled like a completely different truck.

Are you running the stocks? I can tell you so far that if I were using my truck for primarily street, these shocks wouldn’t be my first choice. A bit soft IMO for daily use but off-road, way better. Application matters. What are you thinking?

Mine is just an SR5 trd offroad. But i keep thinking of possibly level it or very mild lift which ever is better if that makes sense. All on road here no offroad since there is no lace to off road around here.

Do you have to do the Zero Point Calibration as in the instructions? I've read just bolt and go.

If yes, will the paperclip method work for a 2018? Or will I need Techstream?
