Was someone in here at the dog park in Keller tonight?

The wife, a regular there, was talking to a couple that lives in a neighborhood a few blocks from us. One of them casually mentioned that he bought a Tundra after the bad hail storm this year and is “on a bunch of the Tundra sites”. A shot in the dark.

Did you get a new one? I thought yours was black.

On the next meet up, I'm gonna have to bring the 8X0 FJ to see how it compares to your Cav Blue. Also, it's an excuse that the better half wants to bring anyways.

 

Anyone need this before it goes in the trash? It is missing the trim pieces along the top. Located on the east side of Dallas.

 

Anyone run the texas adventure trail down in the hill country?

 

This is the first I’ve heard of it. I tried googling it but my search skills our poor and found nothing other than vague references to a Texas Epic Adventure Trail, but no details. Do you have a link to it?

Dirt roads - few river crossings nothing on the technical side. Just some great scenic driving!

Was fun! Dont expect to test the limits of your truck by any means! Lots of scenery and wildlife. Few creek crossings. 70/30 on dirt/hardball roads. Took us 4.5 hours to complete.

 

That’s exactly what I’m looking for! I wheeled my CJ2A, fullsize Bronco and 1st gen Tacoma many years ago. I’m too old and too mch of s cheapskate now to want to put my Tundra through all that.

 

Anybody have a transmission shop they might recommend me bring my truck to in order to see if they can figure out what is wrong with my 4x4? The dealership was no help.

 

Are there any Installers in the North Dallas area that work on Westcott Designs 3/1 kit? Plano, McKinney, Allen area ish? Got a 2022 SR5 I need to get installed and I am no longer able to do it myself.

I did mine at Tread Depot in Mansfield. They do a ton of Westcott Designs stuff and have done my ‘22 as well as a couple of other guys’

 

Mind sharing how much they charged ya to install?

 

I think it $650 to mount and balance the wheels and tires, install the lift, and do the alignment

This little project was born out of necessity as I have a 2018 4x4 SR5. My full time place of employment was hit by catalytic converter thieves in broad daylight on a very busy highway in Roanoke. I happened to not be there that day as I was working nights. 3 Tundras were hit that day. I immediately designed my idea of a cat guard. It was very well received, so I decided to make a few at an affordable price. Here is an unsolicited review from a member that installed my cat shield. Anybody in the area have experience with replacing suspension parts? Ordering a dobinson’s kit that’ll come prebuilt but have to install it. Front coils and struts with rear coils and shocks for the 2022 Tundra. Spent too much money on the truck already so want to try to do it myself, but I’d appreciate any help! Doesn’t seem too bad from what I’ve seen on YouTube

 

Anybody want to give a go at rebuilding a transfer case? I swapped mine due to a 4x4 fault so now I have the old case in the back of my truck with nothing to do with it. I have it on Marketplace for $150. Anybody interested? I’m not sure what to do with it.
