    excellent. appreciate the offer.

our neighbor is the permit/code guy for red hook. he hooked us up with a plumber who has been great so far. electrician and painter would be great to have. whole house may need a rewire. starting on some of the painting but i'm not moving fast enough for bec and i'm out of the country in a couple of days to film a wedding. we spoke to one painter but he couldn't do anything until mid january.

i don't even want to think about what it's going to take to fix the pool or the fireplace/chimney. plan is to put in a wood stove insert so we won't have to run the furnace as much. try and save a little on the oil.

so much to do and not enough time in the day but, the kids and bec are happy here. youngest started school yesterday and is already making friends which is a weight lifted.

Look into a pellet stove , much easier for the wife when you aren't around and 1 bag lasts anywhere from 2 to 4 days depending how hot you need it.
I also know a honest contractor if you need it.
Good luck Sean and feel free to reach out if you need anything.

In the middle of winter, we can go through 2 bags a day. But it does heat most of the house. We have propane for baseboard heat and get a prebuy deal of about $1.70 a gallon and usually 1100 gallons lasts all year. We really only use propane to heat the basement. The stove and water heater are propane too though.

Wow 2 bags a day. The most I've done is 1 bag a day.

Yeah probably a bit colder here and we are inline with all the lake effect snow. I completely agree to get a pellet stove though.

    Have you tried https://www.kspowdercoating.com/
seem to be very well regarded.

I'm just up from Hudson in the Berkshires, I have the full rear bumper supports ( '03 AC) brand new you can have if you want to come pick it up?

    why did I buy a 1st gen?

    My neighbor has one
    IMG_5895.jpg

The guy that lives two doors down from him has one

    IMG_5932.jpg

    his neighbor has one

    IMG_5933.jpg

And the guy that lives three doors up from me has one, ( but he's not home right now so I couldn't get a shot of his 2005 tan AC.)
All the tradesmen I see in my area have one and whenever I go to my local village there's always one or two first gens in the carpark.
Sometimes I think they would weigh up to at least 5% of the cars in my local area.

Joe does great work, I've used him several times. Much better and cheaper than KS Powder Coating which I used once.
It's about 15 minutes south of KSPowder Coating.

I had to do it on my 2010 Tundra. I lived in DC at the time though so not much help with a shop in NY. It’s not hard though. It’s just like replacing a CV axle. You need a puller too, which they also sell if I remember right. Any shop should be able to do it.
