Here is the problem I have with this. Its a Canadian Sniper. I have nothing against Canada. Good for them they now hold the world record. America, Canada has just set the bar. Its time for one of our boys to pull a Chris Kyle and up the anti. This is a competition gentlemen. See it as such. Our Canadian brethren are taking the lead. Time to take it back.

This is fairly old news but still very impressive given the BMG is supersonic to about 2150 yards. I predict this will be broken by the Anzio Ironworks 20mm Vulcan or 20/50 which is effective at 4500.

Most glass is stopping at around 1500 yds/m for drop. You're swagging it after that.

    Edit*

    Most *long* glass

I used to shoot my .300 RUM with a Leupold Mark 4 out to 1600 yards, and the scope still had some elevation adjustment left in it. There are plenty of scopes out there with more adjustment than a Mark 4.

I have owned two Savage 110 Rifles and both have been remarkably accurate and consistent from rifle to rifle. As a matter of fact both have the exact same chamber and distance to engage the rifling within 1000th". Both shoot well under 1/2 moa. I'm a firm believer in Nightforce Optics and personally opt for the 5.5x22x56 NSX. It has more adjustment than my Sierra Matchking 300 grainers can stay supersonic.

True. Which is why i didn't say *all glass*.
Definitely depends on what your sending downrange too. .300 rum is a considerable load.
Plus if you're running offset rings you can take advantage of all 120 MOA (for example) instead of +60 / -60.

I was referring to more of what folks hunt 4 legged and 2 legged with. Not ripping paper from a bench.

This is the only photo I still have. Sold the rifle a few years ago cause I wanted something lighter for hunting. This picture was when I was running a Zeiss. My cousin and I put together near identical rifles.

    Remington 700 Sendero SF II
    Defensive Edge muzzlebreak
    Jewell trigger
Shooting handload Hornady 208gr A-max over 93gr of Retumbo.

In the end was running the mark 4 on a 20moa base.

Fair enough. Out here, I was hunting with my .300 RUM setup. Heck, some guys hunt with even heavier rifles. Idaho even has a law restricting the maximum weight of your rifle. o_O
