Anyone on 5G with Verizon wireless

I had both.

 

Bloody phone service leaves a foul taste in my mouth.
My perfectly serviceable but 'crap reception in the mountains' Sprint iphone7 was suddenly absolutely useless for anything but phone calls and the shysters at the T-mobile money-sucking store told my wife that it wouldn't work with a sim card replacement - which is not what their effing website claims.
So my good lady came away from the store with a brand spanking new iphone11, thinking that it was a 5g phone, being able to work with 5g is not the same as being 5g!
So, not an answer for the OP but my new, already outdated, 4g phone sends pics at reasonable speeds in places where my 3g struggled to send texts. 5g any better? F*** knows.

TLDR: Phone companies are a bunch of w****rs.

 

Yes, yes they are. I mean, they exist to sell a product. Some are more honest than others.

I was @ the AT&T store about 6 months ago, after years of substandard service from them. This was after I'd tested T-Mobile for a solid 2 weeks. I'd told them that I was getting decent service w/T-mobile, and that I was wondering if they could do anything to improve my service.

'Well, if you can get better service with another company locally, you should probably obtain service with them.'



Not exactly the best way to retain customers, I suppose, but an A for honesty. LOL

On a side note...I'll always have a soft spot for AT&T. My Dad worked for them and retired from them; and the day after he passed, I was discontinuing service for his phone. Long story short, I had some issues and sent off an email to the VP's office, 'knowing' I'd never hear anything.

Not even an hour later, the VP's secretary called me. Turns out they knew my Dad; they paid off *all* our phones and 3 months of service, and told me "You take care of your mama now."

 

Verizon is Awesome and has been forever almost anywhere for us. For some reason with the new S22 it's not as good. It works for you because you live near the baddest base on the planet. haha

 

Is that really in your console and functional? I haven't seen one of those in a coon's age

Honestly I carry 2 phones - work phone is a One Plus 8 on Verizon. Personal is the S22+ on TMobile.

I have a much better experience with my personal when comparing coverage, download speeds, and almost everything else. There are a few rare times where Verizon gets coverage and t-mobile doesn't, but overwhelmingly it's the other way around.

International there is no comparison. T-mobile is a clear winner in Canada, Mexico, and all over the EU and Scandinavia.

 

Does it include unlimited text messages?

Yes but texting is very difficult.
