Tynan's Nissan! This Frontier was my 6th truck purchased there since 06. First Nissan! 01 Ranger(got totaled), 09 Taco, 2010 piece of crap Sierra that I traded in on my 07 Tundra after 10 months of disappointment, my 14 Tundra that I traded in for $2500 more than what I paid 2+ years prior from them with 125K miles. My local Yota dealer wasn't even close. Somewhat surprised by that. Had some overpriced Taco's so didn't care a rat's ass anyway. I'm so pleased. Love this little beefy built normal looking truck that hauls ass for a non turbo.

BTW, the parts department guys are great. Great pricing discounts on all accessories. The service folks get an A+. Everyone knows Manny of course! I saw my salesman yesterday. Came right up to me when he saw me. BTW..... a 2013 totally tricked out Xterra in the showroom with only 39K miles will be up on Tynan's site Monday. Nisstec lift. Major lift/suspension going on. Best Xtrerra I've ever seen. Will be pricey as f**k. Some crazy shit going on with it. I had a hell of a time getting up in it. Everything done right with it except...no...sliders! Easy peasy to correct that.

This has been the driest April in quite some time. Last week it snowed in the mountains. Good, but nothing here on the front range.....

I'm late to the party and last to know, but that's a good looking truck. I had no idea you sold your Toyota.

The Nissan Frontier, then the Titan were the first trucks we looked at, before we started looking at Tacoma's and ultimately the Tundra.

Glad the truck is working out and you stuck around here with all the Toyota fanboys and girls.

Got the J&L catch can on this morning. Took maybe 15 minutes. Super easy to install. No modifications. Catches up 3 ozs. There is a optional 6 oz attachment but not necessary. I'll check the level at 500 miles to start with.

I may not have mentioned it before but the new 3.8L is direct injection. This is the 3rd model year Frontier with this new V6. I only buy top tier gas and the catch can is added insurance.

The wind has been ridiculous this year
I would suggest you throw some of this in your tank every oil change. This stuff works and I have used it for years in every gas motor I own. Good insurance and should go a long way in preventing any issues with D.I. motors.

Headed down to my off grid property tomorrow am. It's amazing how much camping gear and fencing materials you can fit in a 5' bed with a bit of planning....sleeping bags, pillows, and extra blankets and such go on the back seat. There's 20 T posts, T post driver and two rolls of barb wire in the bed.......

Got my 5 day Coleman cooler for "drinks" and my Yeti 45 "beyond 5 days easy" for my food. Weather report is great for Ft Garland. Mornings only 44 or so and highs at 70 give or take. Not bad at 8300 ft. Gas prices will suck but f**k it.....

Yeah those bed extenders are golden when you have a short box truck. Almost mandatory IMO. Have had a few. Looking forward to the trip report!

I have an x-wife that worked at Tynan's at one time(around 1992). I got a gun for her. Good trade. I sure missed her. She kept moving. Couldn't get a good bead on her. She's still single.

Oh yeah, I digress. Nice truck.

Can't get rid of me that easy. Ha!
Put almost 500 miles on the Frontier. 24.4 mpg hand calculated. A lot of the mileage on cruise control set at 65 and 75 depending on highway limit. 5471 ft to 8300 ft elevation.

Last time I filled the tank, beginning of May, it was $176. The tundra is benched until the next off road trip.

I did not think you were exaggerating - I’m just glad it was under $200. (My wife puts over $95 in her Subaru.)

I like the frontier! I almost did the same thing . In the end I kept the tundra but was really impressed with the frontier. Only thing I didn't like was the unusually heavy steering. The transmission and motor were butter. They nailed the drivetrain. Other than the steering I think they hit it out of the park.

My distance to empty at fill up is usually 460+ miles with a 21 gallon tank. In fairness that distance would be realistic with only highway driving.

It took me maybe 15 minutes to get used the steering. I never did like not having a good feel of the road. The Frontier was a welcome respite. I enjoy the ride now!

Damn. Had I not received 1.00 off per gallon for 35 gallons, my truck would have been 215.00 for a fill up. Glad I can get up to 23 mpg with this truck.

What’s the verdict? A couple other guys I know with DI had quite the collection at 300 miles. Interested to see what you did.
