Mine does the same thing. Never opened a ticket though. Looking forward to hearing what you find out.

TPMS seems to be the most problematic. I presume it is the way the Toyota modules work as I have had zero issues with nonToyota vehicles.
I don’t like that you can’t be connected to the TPMS module and the other modules simultaneously.
May be posted earlier in this thread but this gave me the best of luck but still inconsistent and I have to be driving for little while to get a reading.

so to be clear, which PID wasn’t functioning with your older OBD2 adapter and exactly which one did you get that is now allowing all PID’s to function? I cannot get my Pan Temp PID to read on my ‘21 Pro when it worked fine on my ‘19. I can get TC outlet temp to read just fine. What’s weirder is that when I test in the editor, the result of the test is correct but the “result” reading is always 0.

Try going back one year to 2020 when you select your vehicle. I had a similar problem when bought my 2020, I chose 2019 and it worked. Did you buy the Toyota enhanced?

Are there any separate displays that can be used beside the phone to display the PID's? I have read somewhere someone used a iPod to do this, is that right?

Thanks for this thread. I bought the Veepeak BLE plus and got the OBD Fusion app. Played a bit around and set up a dash. Here my dash I came up with. Of course this is my first setup after what I learned on this thread. I can tweak it further.
I know some of you guys got the add on. What exactly does the add on provide? I was looking spec. for the Trans temp. I see that you can go by model and year. Just wanted to see if its really that much more useable data on the add on. I read on here that you can add user defined pid's and a user defined pid for trans pan temp but wanted to make sure if its covered with the add on after knowing if the add ons are worth it.

    Hello Fellow Members,
Can Someone help me with PIDs Used in Tundra 2010 for Odometer and Engine Hours?
ELD Device that is attached is not able to read these two parameters.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

My engine oil is always reading within 1 degree of the transmission pan temperature. I think it is the estimate, not an actual sensor reading.

Could someone post up what their coolant temps read when using the purchased Toyota PIDs? I'm trying to tell if the coolant temp option is correct or if I need to manually add a PID.

Reason I'm asking is per the app, just driving around town I'm between 201 and 214. Per Toyota, normal is 176-183.

Update: purchased Coolant Temp PID is correct and proved a thermostat issue. Truck is now running 188-192 on average. Thermostat is 185 degrees.

For anybody using Torque app, can confirm buying the additional Toyota plugin will give you current gear info and TC lockup.

Will get screenahot from other phone that app is loaded on.

Will OBD Fusion connected to a Veepeak BLD+ allow you to program fobs for a 2011 SR5?

Does anyone know if the pitch and roll displays are available for Fusion or OBDlink?

I can find the PIDs but have to "force" them into one of the standard display options and not the style with a vehicle image that is commonly used.

Reworking my OBDII reader after purchasing the Toyota add ons thru OBD fusion. Using veepeak dongle. I cannot find the gear indicator pid referenced earlier in this thread. SS of the exact list missing the one that others are using for gear indicator (status of shift change 1, 2, 3 etc) and the display config Im currently using.

I still don't see or have that. Whether scrolling or search function. "Shift status" under engine/ect seems to do the trick for me though. TC lock up status appears above the gear indicator when it's active.

On my 2021 I don't have the "Status of shift status..." either but I do have the "Shift Status" as well and that works for me also.

Which PID from toyota would one set up for fuel density learning value per the FFV tundras out there that possibly give you exact number per percentage? Curious if anyone has already set this up with obd fusion app?

Alcohol density estimate and Long FT #1#2???
Has anyone set this up all in a arc guage per obd fusion?

Would anyone here have info on the Gen 3 Tundras? I'm looking to add Trans Temp and a few other things to my 2022 Tundra, but need a PID.

Ancient commentary here but I'm bumping it maybe for posterity or something...

Not sure if it helps, but I recently had my TPMS light flashing, and like you, have the OBDLink MX+. I decided, "wtf, let's dig around" so I fired up OBDLink iOS app, I loaded all the custom PIDs offered for Toyota, connected to the MX+ via Bluetooth, then at the connection screen, told it to connect into the TPMS Network specifically.

From there, I was able to scan all the TPMS info, see at least two of my five sensors (4+spare) aren't reading, fetch all my sensor info and output, then clear the two diagnostic codes which were set on those two unreadable (probably dead battery) sensors. Interestingly enough, no more TPMS errors, and no more flashing TPMS light.

I did notice, the pressures (which were represented in mercury inches/Hg versus PSI) seemed a bit off to me also. I'd inflated all tires to 33psi just before this. Anyway, here's a quote of my post over in the 1st Gen forum, along with the screencaps and other crap I shared with the dudes over there if it's interesting.

(NFN: I do really like the OBDLink MX+ tool. Connectivity is weird, and you need to be careful not to buy fakes if purchasing from scAmazon, but it's been solid so far)

EXPAND THIS QUOTE FOR PICS AND INFO:

Thanks. I have not had a chance to just sit around and fool with it.
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll read through your suggestion and get a chance to mess with it.

Mine recently updated and I no longer see oil temp and it’s not coming up as an option. Anyway to add it manually as a user defined? Obd fusion app with dongle

Each time I try to go through everything I get interrupted with something else. I did not know it would take all that time. Too busy with work and projects I guess. I will get it eventually for my 2018 but yeah… never really got anything worth looking at yet

Ok I have everything working it appears but the refresh I guess is what it is for all gauges has a slight pause it seems then all updates at the same time... At least it works.

What I do not have under control is the gauge for the what gear your in and the lock up ring. I simply cannot find the "Status of the Lock Up" anywhere in my list of PIDs and the "Status of the Shift Status/1st,2nd,3rd,..."

Can someone help with which block of PIDs these are found in for a 2018 Platinum? I have purchased the Enhanced Package already but I cannot find the PID to select. I dug through everyone of them.

I am doing all of this sitting in front of my computer and digging through the app on my phone. I am reading online trying to learn more about this but feel like an idiot. I understand for the two different one displaying on the same gauge is pushing to front/back to control which one you are working with but again I cannot find these last two. Do I have to be connected to my truck with it running for it to find them? I never had to do that for any of the others (7 gauges total). So close

You do not need to be at your truck with it running and connected to find the PIDs

I know when I was setting mine up the PIDs were slightly different than what I was seeing others use. For example, my lock up ring is using PID "Status of Lock Up / OFF or ON" and my gear gauge is using PID "Shift Status". Your year might use a different label for the PID, I'd just setup a 2 or three gauges with different options and go for a quick drive and see what works and what doesn't.

Try going into the PID menu, select the Toyota. Lexus, Scion extension you purchased, select Engine and Electronic Controlled Transmission and in the search bar type "Status" and search. That'll help narrow down the list of items, both of mine show within the top 20 or so items.
