    Hi more knowledgeable people

do i have room for 2 new 220v circuits or just 1? I have 2 spare 110s so if my idiot logic thinks i can move a couple of in use one and free up a “220” if need be? Thanks!

Yes, Move the top two "lights" to spares open breakers below then pop a double in the place of the two singles and put a 2 pole in the unused spot at the bottom BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont do any of that cause that panel looks CRAZY overloaded now, much less adding two more runs. 100 amp main??? Hell I got 200 in house and 200 in the dethatched garage.

I was going to say the same thing on that 100A panel. You might want to do a load calc anyway.
What size 2 pole breakers do you need to add?
Have you looked behind the cover? Those bottom 2 spaces might not have any bus behind it, some covers are universal for multiple panels.

Even then, all those double breakers are more than maxed out on that panel, hopefully he never throws parties!

Looks to me like OP has gas dryer and cooking with gas, too. Also no breaker for hot water. So no 220 appliances at all. Not as bad as being made out to be.

Yeah, that's a lot of twin breakers! I wouldn't add any more load, lol.

Pretty sure I would upgrade to a 200A panel.

I have a 200A panel for inside and a 100A for outside power requirements.

correct. Everything is gas. Dryer, oven, stove, WH. House is very small. Think an apartment with a yard/driveway

Yeah true, GD, fridge and kitchen recpt probably draw the most.
Keeping the full load to 80A max, there might be some more wiggle room in that panel.
What size 2 poles are needed? @Hbjeff

I should add to my post above that it certainly depend on what is to be on those two 220 circuits. My house has 200 amp panel, and everything on the 220 (well, AC, dryer) are on that panel, plus a 100 amp shutoff to the inside subpanel where the 110 breakers for the house are located.

that im not 100% sure. Spa is gonna be a 50amp

we don’t have AC, however it may be added in the future. House is only 1300 sf, central ac is a waste imo but the wife wants it. We live 1 mile from the beach. A couple of skylight vents would do the trick if it were my choice

Well, with AC added and spa heater, best to upgrade to 200 amps.

    Yep, that's a big increase.
That spa on a 50A breaker will probably draw around 40 amps with everything on.

One of these will work wonders if you manage your windows, blinds and know when to turn it on.

That is 4160 ac voltage coming from the city power. The other photo is the switchgear that runs out cat power emergency diesel generators. Each one generates 2 million or 2mega watts of power

Granted it's gotta be totally different since I've never experienced it like it is in the South, but this worked when I lived a few miles form the California beaches. I can't imagine trying to keep anything cool and dry down your way.

100% percent true. I ment it as a crack on the on my terrible weather were whole house fans and swamp coolers just blow hot sticky air around, no cooling effects when the air is as wet as your sweaty skin. I am 50 years old this September and have never lived without AC.
