Paid $44k for my 2019 Platinum in Sept 2019. It was a leftover 19 and the dealership's manager drove it for a couple months, so it had 900 miles on it. Toyota had a $3k cash back offer at the time and they also threw in a set of tires. Thought it was a good deal then, but after the past couple of years, it's looking even better.

Got quoted $44k before before TT on a new 2020 TRD OR in VooDoo but I wanted inferno so had to go used.

 

February 2020, the brand new Ram 1500 I brought home was advertised $16,000 off MSRP. Most dealers were doing $8k to $12k off.

Ford dealers had similar rebates and discounts, as did a lot of GM dealers.

I never shopped Toyota until now so I can't say, but my local Toyota dealer has never dealt on new trucks like that, which is why they always had Tundras on the lot for months and months at a time. And when I did finally get serious about a new Tundra they wanted $10k markup so I bought a used one instead.

Those good old days are gone now. Sad....

There’s a 2021 sr5 near me in cement with off road package and sr5 upgrade package and conveinance package with 3k miles on it for 49900. I hate paying 50k for an sr5 but it’s the closest I will get to new at this point. Just seeing the prices you guys paid though makes me think I should just wait but this market is so unpredictable and the chip shortage news is positive and negative every day so hard to tell!!

Before covid my truck was worth 23.5 and now they are offering 27k or 27.5k depending on where I go. Still not making out better than if I had bought precovid.

2021 Platinum (bought in November of 2020). Sticker was $57,134.00. Internet price was $55,384.00.

Paid $50,076 before tt&l.

 

I can say, my 2020 tundra bought in march of 2020 MSRP was 38,000. I paid 32,500 for it.
