I had a Snugtop Rebel shell with vented windoors installed on my 2015 Tundra double cab in late November, and it has come to my attention that the windoors are very leaky. I started out in the dry desert and then drove up north for winter so I didn't notice until things start melting in early spring. I'm surely under warranty but also 800 miles from the nearest Snugtop dealer.

I plugged the holes drilled (by the dealer) for my roof rails that had been leaking (twice, actually), only to notice that it was still leaking from the bottom of the windoor frames... I enlarged the drainage holes on the outside, but it still leaks from the bottom and now I noticed sides of the frames.

I haven't seen any online discussions about pulling the windows out and sealing them with butyl tape so I figured I'd ask before removing them. Will the 'tape' fit in there well? Am I gonna mess up the threads and not have a secure window when I put it back on? Is this going to work?

    Thanks.

Here's a pic of one of several leaking areas from the bottom of the windoors before I enlarged the drainage holes and realized it was leaking on the sides as well.

I don't have windoors on mine but the sliding windows. When I had a leak similar to that of yours the dealer replaced the rubber strip that sealed around the windows and that worked. Not sure if it's the same in your case? Does your windoor have the extra small slider window as well or just one big windoor?

They have the mini sliding vent windows. Doesn't appear to be leaking from those gaps but I'm not certain.
