Interesting; looks a lot like the precision signal generators HP used to make back in the 80s...coincidence? :monocle:

We get in all sorts of test equipment. New and old. Most of the legacy items sent in are not surprisingly HP. Built to last. The 8663A is to this day a great low noise generator at <140 dBc and has to go to Keysight for calibration. We have several large military contractors that send in some older test equipment amazingly still in use. Most of the latest gen test equipment sent in is aerospace related. ULA and SpaceX are an example and biotechnology/life science companies where we have a very large footprint.

Two of us are calibrating this 20GHz LeCroy 820ZiA Serial Data Analyzer. I perform the frequency response tests. This unit used is around $100K. No automation yet so it will take the two of us about 14 hours to calibrate it. Way.....too....many......test.....points......

Update: I'm back at Honeywell running a $50 million portfolio of capital projects. I missed the folks here and the other people were very, ah, let's say disingenuous about my role there, so when I found out, I left. Major increase in pay to come back, so I took it.

Beginning of this year I started to work for a contractor that does on-site testing for SC Johnson, I'm in the aerosols side. Major swing from what I was doing but right place right time, less stress, it was time to leave the last job.

Some days I wish to get out of nursing when dealing with terrible patients. Then I get a few nice ones and I wouldn't trade the job for anything. Currently working at a critical access hospital and they are so lax in vax exemptions I don't think anyone is vaxed. :notsure:

I would have been ok but our state voted to remove the 30 previous year bill allowing for philosophical and religious exemptions to vaccines 2 years before Covid. For school, employment, everything. Then they passed the mandate. I was refused religious and philosophical exemption, so I made the easy decision

I used to deliver cell towers and equipment for them too. Crazy driving a class B roll deck up to some of the places that they put tower. :burnrubber:

Yup. I definitely miss some of the drives I got to do, but I don't miss the garbage boss, low pay, and getting injured because two people cost too much money.
