You won't be disappointed with the Black Oak bar. I had a 30" on my last 4Runner and it was a great value for the performance/quality. I ended up buying amber covers for it - makes it way better for back road use in terms of glare off road signs and its easier on the eyes for long periods.

    Nice looking truck!

I installed 2 of their red, puck lights in my boat a couple of years ago. Great quality product.

Gave my truck some much needed attention yesterday. New running boards, washed and clay bar treatment. Then applied a ceramic coating. Curious to see if the ceramic coating is what it’s hyped up to be.

Changed my oil. Last time I did that, I did it hot. And, since the engineers at Toyota must never have changed their oil, the oil plug is conveniently aimed at the passenger side wheel. Unscrew the plug and 7.5 quarts of hot oil shoot right into the wheel and splash on the caliper, driveway and down my arm. Nice. This time I changed it hot but I cut the bottom out of a milk jug and redirected the flood into the intended container for recycling. Worked great. That is all.

Give me a week or so, I’m going to paint it along with the rear bumper. I can’t wait to get rid of the chrome. I’ll update with pictures when it’s done

9964E093-30A3-4D63-91B3-2BE27401105F.jpg Just built a new spare tire mount. Changed it up this year and bought some 305/65r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3’s instead of the KO2’s I always run, so far I really like them. Had them take my best old tire and put it on my spare so I can have a full size spare, then decided to build the tailgate mount. I’m gonna make it a little lower, sits too high, but other then that works really well!25EE8EDB-DD0D-4697-ADB1-0852523C633C.jpg F1C8F9BF-8F8B-4A2A-B828-73889B3C7BE9.jpg

Found what I think is an acceptable substitute for my missing sway bar spacer (buddy machined it for me) and got the bar installed.

Decided to do my spark plugs. I don't think the previous owner had changed them. Honestly, not bad for 180k milesIMG_20220415_114116.jpg

Installed a digital rear view mirror because rear visibility. A little camera above the rear window points out the back and gives a 150 degree view with no headrests in the way. The display is shorter than the camera’s field of view, so you can adjust the mirror up and down. Scrolling down allows me to see the contents of the bed, which gives me some comfort that stuff isn't coming loose. I have it set to tilt down and show lines when I reverse.

    Here’s the mirror:

    With the clock enabled:
    3CAA9115-151E-4712-BF93-0677B6DD7AD8.jpg

It includes front/rear dash cams that automatically record and cycle, and it has a GPS log that will show your track on a map along with the video. Here's a view with both cameras side-by-side:

    077FB0C4-5C07-4CAE-A1CF-2425AEF12333.jpg

Took about an hour; really easy because all the wires you need are connected to an unused harness (at least on my 2008 SR5) hidden in the upper console.
    • White and black: ground
    • Blue: Always on (this seems to differ, some people report it’s ACC)
    • White: ACC (some people report this is always on)
    • Green: Reverse
When off it's a dark tinted mirror, which is weird but works. Starts up quickly enough.

Do I recommend it? Ask me in a month. My brain is definitely going to need to adjust. Previously I rarely used my rear view because I could see so little. So far I like it and it can definitely improve safety and make backing into spots easier.

Aftermarket 3rd brake light is pretty much burned out. Lasted about 2 years. PITA to replace so I only want to have to do it 1 more time. Going with something easier to change out when the time comes so I went with a pricey option.

    https://ssbuiltinc.com/products/07-tundra-kc-cyclone-3rd-brake-light

I'll post pics when I get it installled.

yes perfect fit. Front and rear .Same on Tundras from 2007 to 2021..lol..gotta love Toyota.
Just make sure you don't have the extended overhead console. Dome light has to be on its own.
I watched both install videos and looked at what I have in my 2012 and it was the same :)

Installed some led accent lighting for at night. Mounted it all and wired it up and tested it with a 9v battery. Just need to tap into an illumination circuit so they’ll come on with with parking lights for night time. Plan on doing that when I swap out my radio for a newer model with CarPlay this weekend

For the most part all the pollen dropping from the trees is pretty much all done. The Fleet needed a good wash & wax, started this morning on the Tundra.

I washed with an extended stick brush and did a quick detail spray wash. Still shines pretty good for a 15-year-old Rig!

(Hood is cracked open, giving the battery a little electrical juice)
