Has anyone run into an issue with one headlight not working? My passenger side has not been working, and yes tried about 10 different bulbs. My multimeter shows it is not getting power, i know the relay is working as it is turning over. (Will check with multi meter soon, but don’t think it is the relay). Also tried tracing the wire back to the fuse box, and tested it with still no power. (It’s the brown wire) at a loss, and have taken it apart like 10 time. Curious if anyone else had this issue? I have a 16 tundra try pro.

Yes, switched the drivers side that was working for the passenger side and still didn’t work then put it back in the drivers side and it turned back on, so not the fuse.

I checked the fuses, and replaced both bulbs still nothing. Passenger side is the only one out. Just no low beam. Got highs on both sides but no low on passenger

Anyone have any other suggestions to remedy this issue? I changed the bulbs, checked the fuses, switched the relays and one of my headlights is not working.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up having to take my truck to an Auto electrician. They “said” they had to reprogram/relearn my computer low beam head light function. Not sure if it was legit or not but my headlights are working again. Cost me $230. Sorry could not be more help and wish I could have figured it out myself.

So I just discovered this is also happening to my 2012 tundra also. After messing with the bulb and fuses my passenger high still wouldn’t come on.

I then started messing with the headlight switch turning the highs on and off and the passenger high beam came on. I’m going to verify by test lighting everything.

my theory is the switch is bad. But I’m going to try the pcm relearn by uninstalling my tuner.

any thoughts or has anyone else figured out something else?

This question is being asked by several people and only one person has responded with their experience. It would be nice if the ones that asked, would return to say what they did or found out was the fix.

Experiencing the same issue on my driver side low beam.. just took the whole headlight out to mess with it: checked different bulbs, and then just checked voltage and confirmed nothing was there. Just this one side randomly went completely dark. Any help would be much appreciated.

For everyone with this issue, I would start here. Assuming you have checked and made sure the bulb is good.

This is for a 2014-2017 non LED headlight truck.

Each side, Driver and Passenger has a dedicated power wire for High and Low Beam.
Green - Low Beam Left Side
Light Green - High Beam Left Side
White - Low Beam Right Side
    Brown- High Beam Right Side

Each side also has a Low and High Beam fuse. If any of these are burned out none of the lights will work.
    15A HEAD LL Left Low
    15A HEAD LH Left High
    15A HEAD RL Right Low
    15A HEAD RH Right High

The Dim Relay flips back and forth to send power for Low Beams (Pink Wires) or High Beams (Purple Wire) depending on the state of the headlight switch/lever. You can generally assume if one side, say low beam is working, then the DIM relay is working and sending power down both Low Beam wires (Pink)

If your Low beam is out make sure the truck headlights are on and set to low, if high make sure the high beams are turned on. Low beam and High beam fuses will only have power when each is activated. The DIM relay handles this.

Check for voltage at the bulb connector, then move up and check for voltage on each side of the corresponding fuse.

If you still have no power on both side of the fuse you could potentially have a bad DIM relay, or bad HEAD relay.
Additionally you could have a broken or chaffed wire between the relays and the bulb socket or worst case scenario a faulty headlight switch in the dash that the body ecu is not recognizing inputs from.

Hi @Jeff_5_7 . My problem is a left high beam inop. The 2019 Tundra is a single bulb unit (not sure if that's the same for earlier models). I've determined that it's not bulbs, fuses, or relays. I did find that, when switching to high beams, the voltage at the bulb socket seems be a circuit in parallel, i.e. the voltage drop is ~6v at both the high beam and low beam pins. Whereas, the full voltage is read at the low beam pin when low beams are selected. I haven't pulled the RH headlight to do a comparison yet.... Have you seen this before? Thanks. - Chris
