Save your money. It looks like shit after a while. All the exhaust carbon build up.

Agreed carbon build up is good! I also am wanting to cut a hole in my rocker for the exhaust. Won’t be that fancy tho. Probably just cut a hole for now haha. I just really like the high clearance of having exhaust smashed through the body.

I’ll say! I never had found his build thread, so thanks. All I had was the exterior shot of it. Glad to see I routed my pipe through the leaf as he did. Means I’ll probably be alright with flexing clearance.

I know it’s an old thread but, I was wondering if you have had any issues routing the pipe above the leafs. I went underneath and the tip is just too low. Looks even more pronounced with the running boards off.

Not sure how relevant all of this thread still is for those looking. But I have mine at the shop right now and will post pictures this weekend.

Plans - I currently have the Runnin4tacos high clearance exhaust. I will be utilizing a Y to a single 2.5 up over the frame and down through the passenger bedside. Check out DirtSkum. That is the dude I used for all the bezel, hardware and tip.

They look badass but I feel like with that short of a pipe, the drone has to be pretty significant at highway cruise, no?

Let us know how you like the new setup! They definitely look great.

Not thru body but short pipe and very little drone.

    Well, here she is.

when we had just the R4T exhaust, there was a bit of drone (not terrible). After the side exit, there is no drone at all. Sounds great. For this setup, We use the R4T high clearance exhaust, welded a Y pipe to it for a single 2.5 pipe over the frame and out (no it hasn't really effected performance). I used a hole saw to cut the hole for the bezel and tip. This was a bit more stressful as I have fiberglass bedsides and didn't want to crack the fiberglass. Best way of doing it is making the whole cut in reverse (takes longer but makes a cleaner cut with less risk of cracking). The bezel parts and Akropovic we used are from DirtSkum.

Stoked with how this came out.
