Gang, I know in the Tundra forum we aren’t a large group. My thoughts for this thread are….

For those in S/W, GTA & Central Ont, specifically, I’m looking to get a thread for mods. Not Moab or dessert running stuff like so many on the main forum seem to be, but for what we can do / works here. Sound, tires, tonneaus etc.

Personally mine doesn’t come in until the end of the month. So some things, I’m not sure I will want or need until it does. That said we can get a list of sorts here for suppliers, I stalkers etc that we can reach out to.

FWIW mine will be a Limited Crew Max TRD Off-road. I’ve already got Price-matched tires through my dealer for a new swap out ( Falken Wildpeak AT3/W) in stock size. I’ll be selling the Michelins.

Until I get it I’m not sure, as opinions vary so much, but I like good sound when I drive, I’m still that guy who likes good bass, clean volume so I can sing like I’m in the shower when on long road trips :rimshot:

I’m considering getting a good ceramic coat paint protection & window tint done ( not blacked out but reasonable) but since I am currently between houses, I’m accepting that I’ll just pay someone to do it ( no garage or space to work). Dealer just has a guy come in and do it, so I’m sure + mark up and basic quality.

for now that’s it for me, but maybe this will be a thread that can & will be used to shorten and simplify the resources for us Ontario peeps.

FWIW - For me I currently live near London, did live in Bradford for past 26 yrs, bought in Newmarket as I’m still regularly between the 2 places for wives family elder care etc.

Few places I got my stuff from:
    Bison tonneau covers in Whitby,
I highly recommend Outpacer Design in Barrie for tinting or any lettering or wraps.
Musclemouse Autospa in Orillia for Kenzo IGL ceramic coating, this guys do detailing second to none, they do tinting too.
Northern performance in Oakville for shocks and struts and other engine supplies

Detailing: you get what you paid for, Orion detailing is known, it'll be around 3k for a truck https://oriondetailing.co/

Tonneau covers: Kijiji , they are literately all the same, I've been using Tyger off Amazon for last 2 vehicles and treated me well.

Sound: I seriously haven't seen any impressive work out of GTA lately, you are better off buy already design kit and do the upgrades yourself, ford 3rd gen there's multiple guys like OEM+ and Taco Tunes doing packages, I'm sure James @ tech12volt is working on something too, I bought a whole kit for my '21 from him, it sounds great, and add some Noico insulation and you are golden.

Exhaust: GT Custom out east GTA is good, I've had multiple exhaust done by them, I used to go to Zoro out in Mississauga when I lived there, but I think GT Custom is better in terms of welding.

Tires: Crappy sometimes has surprisingly good price for BFG and Duratracs.

Suspension: this is a tricky part, if you care about warranty, get the TRD lift kit, it's not cheap, but it carries factory warranty, some dealers are also pretty competitive when comes to installing aftermarket parts, talk to the service manager, my dealership regear my truck for me at a rate no one could beat.

For anyone looking for tinting near London -

I just had mine done last week at Xtreme Graphics. Used the Autobahn brand, lifetime transferable warranty. I matched front to rears with ceramic i3 & added the air ceramic to the rears & pano roof. I wasn’t going for super dark just cutting uv & heat transmission.

Great job & were fast. Contacted & had truck in shop 2 days later ( my schedule) full tint job done by after lunch, All in around $620.

no affiliation or incentive for me- just sharing my 1st experience with them.

C7AA001B-B145-4BD1-AF72-D53FDFFFCE9D.jpg If you live in or around London, check out streetstars customs.. owner is a friend of mine and he vinyl wrapped my Lexus for me.. stands by his work and he works on exotics down to Honda civics.. he can ceramic coat your entire truck, install clear ppf (paint protection film) and customize it in any way shape or fashion you desire. Highly recommend.. included a picture of my Lexus for reference.. on my tundra, he de badged the whole truck, installed tint across top of windshield, installed yellow fog light tint, polished and clear ppf’d the headlights.. I’m also going to get him to wrap the grey grill insert satin black.. 9056C22C-8CE3-4DD9-8EB4-D0BF1DF8C8B6.jpg

Sorry it’s been awhile, but how’s your Bison tonneau holding up? If we decide to go with a tonneau, I’m favouring their soft roll up.
