Thanks! I used these off Amazon:
JCHL Cargo Tie-Down Anchors, 10PCS V-Ring 2" Diameter Steel V-Ring Bolt On Trailer Anchor for Cargo on Trucks Pickups Trailers Flush Mount TieDown Anchor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MB985GW

I knocked the washers off the bolts by putting the bolt head into a 1.5” pipe and hitting the end with a 3lb hammer. It’ll roll the retaining ridge on the bolts and you can sandwich the D-rings between the washer and bolt.

Unfortunately the rear window switch is going back to its home. I am planning on adding an autoloc on it though, so hopefully auto-up/down will make me forget the pain…

The SP is going in the SDHQ card mount in that spot.

Have you considered putting it up by the overhead console? That’s where I’m putting mine.

Yep, your post about it on your build thread had me considering it. I went back and forth a bit, but by the shifter ended up winning out. I’m keeping the cable extension for the rear window switch and the 3 switch panel on hand, just in case I decide to redo it later.

I had seen in someone's thread, and had considered putting the rear window switch on the vertical surface just under the console lid. It would cost quite a bit of reconstruction and loss of space in the console, and I have a safe with supports that get in the way of any of that, but it's a possibility. Wouldn't work so much for switches you actually need to look at to coordinate punching them; but the rear window isn't that.

I looked into this as well. Like you said, there's a lot that would need to go into retrofitting to that spot. I'm still toying with the idea, most likely seeing if I could make it work to the right of the card holder spot behind the cup holder, in the same orientation as it is with the 3-switch panel.

I think the SP right where your cell phone mount is would be perfect. But that’s just my $.02. Might be a little “too in your face”

This is likely your switch plate candidate. Looks tight. Not sure how it would look or work mechanically to cut that plate so it only fit one switch, and turn it sideways. Spitballing, but I wonder how tight the fit is down in the channel to the right of the cup holder? Might have to go back to its original home after all...

That part holds three switches. I have one in my parts box from my 2008.

Doing a single switch blank is probably gonna have to be something custom.

I’ve found a few options for single switch housings, but not for the Toyota size in our trucks. It’ll definitely be a custom project if I end up going that route.

If you find the .stl file for one you like, I can 3d print it and bring it to t2s if you want.

I’ve got an STL of the socket for a single switch, but it would need to be then designed into an actual housing.
My concern with printing anything with a “flange” is that the print lines lack a lot of structural strength at the connection

I'd probably just two piece it and epoxy the flange to the top of the housing. Still not sure it's even worth it to go that route, but it's a fun exercise to thing about.

Had some multitasking time while working today, so did some of the prep work for the SP9100 install. I should have the wiring for the lights in a good enough spot that splicing all those in should be pretty straightforward. As long as the wife isn’t cracking the whip on getting the house packed, I think I can get it knocked out while on calls tomorrow.

It’s been holding up pretty well. I had an issue where the space bar was a little flaky, but there ended up being some crumbs or dirt underneath, so popping that off and cleaning it solved that problem. I think I’ve had it for around 6 or 7 years now…

Too bad there isn't a relay available for the SP that could replace the rear window switch. Might take up two of the buttons...

So I had considered this as well, but thought running wires just for that would be a PITA... but I'll have the harness wires from my existing switches sooooo might steal those...

:rofl:I've got a light bar sitting in my garage that I need to find a spot for. Next one will probably be an S8 in the hood bulge or some rear bumper lights.

It was surprisingly faster than I thought it would be. But I also had all my devices prepped ahead of time.

Picked up a souvenir from Box Canyon this weekend - I heard a rock rattling and scraping inside the brake dust shield after going through a wash. I was hoping it would eject on its own, but after 20 or so miles of driving it was still there. Took about 20 minutes to pull the rotor and get it out.
