Noticed a couple smallish rock chips on my Tundra the other day. Pic enclosed of one. Placed an order for the dr colorchip kit which should arrive in a few days. Noob question but how long does it take for any rust to occur? Should i put some wax or nail polish on the chips until i can get around to repairing them?

If it is down to bare metal you can use a hole punch + sandpaper + pencil to make a mini sander. It will help smooth out the rough edge of the chip as well.

Would the sandpaper damage ceramic coating?

Yes but in a small area.

First follow the instructions of the kit you are using.

This is what I am talking about starting at 5:07, the rest of the vid creates a lot of work for one spot.

Yes, but wouldn;t be re-applying your ceramic coating anyway...in the area you are touching up?
