After our shakedown of our camping gear a few weekends ago on a bike trip, I decided to look into a decent knife to use while camping off the bikes. After reading a lot of blogs and owner reviews, I decided on a Gerber LMF II, in coyote which is still made in Portland or so Gerber claims. I ordered (2) one to keep in my Tundra, one for camping pack.

    Here is a Gerber vid..

I bought one of these for my son on his first trip to the sandbox. I had done a lot of research and this was the one I went with. He carried it on two subsequent trips. I carry an esee 5 when we go backpacking.

Thanks Tony. I have read nothing but really stellar reviews.

Gotta love Amazons super fast shipping. Ordered on the 19th, arrived this morning. If anyone is looking for a serious US made survival knife, the LMF II is something to seriously consider. Arrived razor sharp and made in Portland, Or.
One for the Tundra, one for my camping ruck.
