Yep, mine is doing this as well. Build date for mine was Nov 2021 and it was on QC hold for a month or so. I assumed it was to fix stuff like this, but I guess not. Oh well, if it comes off I guess I'll head to the dealer and have them slap another one on there.

Mine was doing this on the passenger rear door. The back edge is not taped down properly. I put a small piece of 3m double sided tape behind it to see if that would work and it helped. Will bring it up when it goes in for 1st service.

I took it by the dealer. They have to order all new badging, take the old off and replace with new badging.....Goodness....just take remove the 3m tape and put some more on there heat and press to cure.

Just went and checked, I have the same thing but only on front passenger door, it’s pretty bad. Just was at the dealer this morning and wish I would’ve seen this thread earlier. Turns out my passenger side mirror is not auto dimming. After much deliberation as to whether that was promised when I bought the truck, I pulled up paperwork and proved it to them. They had to order all parts and service advisor said it was $1500 in parts.

The fit and finish on the exterior trim, namely the fender flares is extremely disappointing for the price of the truck.

My trim is also doing this same thing on passenger front door.

As far as the mirrors go, I too am taking up the same debate with my dealer; they are perplexed. The manual also refers to "auto dimming side mirrors"...plural. It is probably safe to say there isn't a single auto dimming passenger mirror out there, everyone who wants to can argue the same thing. My dealer isn't even sure one is made for the Tundra.

What is your issue with the fender flares? They are replacing all four of mine because the fasteners left 2-6 or so noticable bumps on each one. Toyota tells me they aren't sure if it's a part issue or assembly issue and were told by Corporate to replace and evaluate.

That same exact issue you just described, I can see bulges from hardware underneath. I’m going to bring it up at my next visit like you did.

I believe I'm just going to re-badge my 22, since the original is coming off anyhow.

Same issue with my fender flares. Noticed it within seconds when I picked it up. They had a 1794 on the sales floor waiting for delivery with the same issue. Seems to be more noticeable with the black flares? Drove the truck from the delivery area to the service dept with my sales guy. I was told they would document it and contact the regional rep from Toyota. My sales rep called me a few days later and said Toyota would look into it. Haven't heard back yet but now that I know others have the same issue, I'll be calling tomorrow to get an update. Also, auto dimming only on drivers side as well.

Same road I'm going down; as far as fender flares, my dealer also reached out to the rep who informed them this week that Toyota isn't sure if it's a part issue or install issue. They have been instructed to replace all four of mine and report back if the issue persists. This took five weeks to determine!

.....I also noticed these bumps as I walked up to the truck, seeing it for the first time. At first, I thought it was a ridiculous amount of door dings, lol.

Right? I looked at my wife and said wtf? Looked at my rep and said not on this 67K truck! Needless to say, he agreed. At first I thought it was from over tighteninig the harware but it lookes more like the spots poke out vs dimple in so it leads me to believe it's a manufacturing issue IMO? I would love to hear from owners with color matching or silver metalic flares to see if they notice anything.

Yes, definitively bumps and not dimples, I just thought they were dents at first the way the light hit them. Originally, I was told it would be months before replacement because they were going to look into the cause and needed re-design, now it's just "let's try again"....same exact thing with my rear window seals. I'm glad I love this truck or I'd be using my state's lemon law for sure!

Thankfully no window seal issues for me. Love the truck as well even with the few nuances. BTW - I ran through some of the other threads with varius picks of the different models and sure enough, when you have a pic good enough to blow up, you could see the bumps on the black flares effecting the Platinum and 1794's. My dealer was goiong to put a warrently claim in day one but told them to hold off until they determined it was widespread or not. Didn't want to get a new set with the same issue. I think I know the answer now and hopefully it will be addressed at some point.

Many people debadge on purpose because they like the sleeker cleaner look of no badges. It's also easier to clean without badges and if you aren't diligent about cleaning in and around the badges or you primarily use a drive through car wash you end up with this

Quite a few, topic comes up in the "Detailer" subsection of the forums.

IMHO the truck looks better debadged. Nice an clean look.

I could understand the anxiety of not remembering what make, model, trim level and power train one drives.

Here is one; there are several buried in the "Ask the Detailer" thread:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/debadging-a-new-tundra-need-advise-and-encouragement.53633/

    Subforum search:
    https://www.tundras.com/search/4942030/?q=debadge&t=post&o=date&c[node]=66

I used fishing line, an eraser wheel for brunt of the residue and some Googone to wipe the area down. DO NOT PULL the badge away from the surface but you can twist/rotate the badge to loosen it. YOU MUST clean the area first before using the eraser wheel. If you use the heat gun monitor the temp of the surrounding paint so you don't damage it.
YouTube has a bunch of DIY vids too:

No worries, if you run into any issues you can always ask in the detailer section.

I am really surprised at the QC of Toyota on this new tundra, it doesn't even seem like the same company building these things. I mean putting the right mirrors on and badges that dont fall off and window seals that fit is not to be blamed by a new model, its just obvious, how are they letting these things pass the QC before shipment?
