@Cruzer @Vizsla - Boots and other accessories are in scope. Let me know if y’all want to proceed. Links would be great as well.

I may order some as well. How often are you guys rebuilding these?

@pandapro Thank you, definitely in to get spare boots. Had to rebuild mine at 10k miles, but it was a bad shop install that caused problems, they have been solid after rebuild. I only need boots and maybe snap rings. @Cruzer Did you re-use the snap rings?

I’m off to camp/wheel this weekend.

I just PMd both of you for info. I’ll pass them along to RCV on Monday.

I reused the snap rings. I figure they're there to prevent the shaft from sliding out of the race, when it's not on the truck, but when the CV axles are installed the shaft will never slide out.

Hmmm you got the orange boot. My buddy has been having boot issues on his and RCV sent him an orange one. Maybe I should change it up?

    Couldn't find it.

@pandapro can you please ask your contact what the part number is for the orange boots and if they are applicable to for in/outboard? Thanks!! I may change up my order to get the orange boots if available.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the orange boot as well. All the pictures I’ve seen show black boots, I had to double check my invoice

Sheesh man! I just did sourgrass over the weekend and saw a few ‘85s on the trail on 37s. Made me want to sell the tundra and get a dedicated crawler haha. The RCVs are going to be great for your rig.

Did you go up/down that steep offshoot?

I’m not too sure which offshoot you’re referring to because it was my first time out there. If it’s this one at ~5:15 in this video, we did not. I didn’t even see any offshoots (other than a bypass to get by the first river crossing) because it was around 10:30pm by the time we passed through the first few granite sections.

    https://youtu.be/4BPwpqamY2w

We headed straight to the river (~8:25 in the video above), got through it, and then found a spot to set up camp for the night.

Next time I go back, I’ll definitely search out that offshoot and give it a go. Most of the guys in this GB are from NorCal so if you guys are down, we could do a tundra run at some point?

@Vizsla @Cruzer @dgtulsaguy - Your info has been passed along to RCV. You should receive a call from them within a day or two. I also asked about the orange boot so waiting his reply. You could also ask him when he calls you to confirm.

It's nice having a dedicated rig that I can tow to the trail and then jump in my diesel for a nice drive home. I can't wait to get my axles so I feel safer about doing a front locker. I'm still open up front.

Hey guys, another update. There was a miscommunication with RCV. I am told boots/accessories are 25% off only with the purchase of their axle kit. One off orders for their boots do not get discounted.

Inner boot is black - BT-136-BK
Outer boot is orange - BT-136OR-BK

Update as of 4/1. RCV appears to have just increased their prices for tundra kits. Both OEM and LT length axles are listed at $2295.95.

2 days left for this GB in case anyone is still interested.
