Was way too much trouble finding this info, so hopefully this helps someone down the line.

    Speaking of wiring:
Does any one know which fuse or wire to tap in order to get a light bar to come on with HIGH BEAMS?

Just posting to say say thanks! I'm at working but planning on my Trigger 6-Shooter install as my weekend project. I don't have my truck with me so this is helping me plan out where I might look to run my fuse tap. Time to get the test light out and figure out switched sources under the hood.

    I appreciate it!

Do you have premium headlights or regular? If premium search here for canbus- it’s a bit of a headache to dial in.

My platinum under hood fuses ALL stay on 12v all the time, have tried an add a fuse on all of them for my Baja design lights running lights and they stay on even when the trucks shut off

I have the hybrid model. The location 1 shows a sub batt fuse. When I open the compartment it shows same diagram on bottom of the cover. However the entire column with 6 fuses containing the sun batt does not exist? I can’t find the fuse for the sub batt which is the 12v charging supply to trailer?

How did you remove the 3rd fusebox location? I remove a tab at the bottom but scared to yank it out as it could break some tabs.

Never it was at the bottom, thought it was on the side.

Here are photos how to access the third fuse box and I included photos to a constant power fuse I use for my 24hr parking motion dash cam.

Very nice, just make sure you have the fuse facing right way (rookie mistake in my days).

Interestingly enough my 2022 Limited Non hybrid does not have a third fuse box. Trying to figure out where I can tout either a t tap or fuse tap for my backlight dimming on switch pros. The two under hood fuse boxes don’t have anything that I can tell would be dimming, and like I said I can’t find a third fuse box.

Did you figure out which fuse it is? I'm hooking up my 8 gang Auxbeam and need that for back lighting also.

    Hi,
For anyone that's interested in finding ignition-based power, Toyota has pre-wired a plug and play connector above the headliner (map light) area. There’s a video online on how to access this when installing THEIR dashcam. Easy to get at if you're simply wanting a 12 volt power supply, ground and accessory power.

Yep, I covered that in one of the dashcam threads on which pin is which and the part numbers for the connector & the pin with wire.

    Hi,

Where can I read that thread ?
I'm installing an aftermarket dash cam and would like to use a connector to tap into this factory connection.

    Hi,

So there's no connector that plugs into the existing integrated connection under the headliner ?

    Hi,
No. I want 12 volt power. I'm going to install an aftermarket dual dashcam and want 12 volt power while the vehicle is running and while the vehicle is not running.
I'd rather plug into the connection under the headliner only because it's easier to access.
I was hoping there was an aftermarket "connector" (with wires coming out of it) that I can attach the dashcam too

    Hi,

No I didn't read that one.
But still, I was hoping to find (purchase) a connector already made that I can plug into the existing connector. From what you sent me, I looks as if I have to build it.
I was hoping to avoid that option.

So complete dummy when trying to figure out what fuse to connect in box 1 for a powered Tonneau cover. I have the Hybrid and can't access the battery under the back seat without removing half the back seat. Any suggestions?

I need to install a hardwire kit for my dashcam and will use a couple of fuse taps in fuse box 3 for switched and unswitched power. A couple of questions:

    1. Hard to tell from the photos but to access that fuse box just remove the one panel belove the glove box by pulling it down? Or is it under the kick panel?

    2. What form factor/size fuses and taps do we need? Micro? Mini? Low profile? Regular profile? What? There are so many sizes these days. :-/
