One of my neighbors used to work for the city, like anywhere it really depends on your team. But it is a city job and there are pros and cons to it. If you've done your research and it looks like a good next step, I say go for it. They need all the help they can get!

I have several members of my family members that are or were city workers. It has it pros and cons. Pension and benefits are usually good but the salary can be hit or miss compared to some of the private sector.
