So I have been trying to figure out some ideas for bed organization that is outside of the standard tool box because I want a full-length tonneau. Some ideas depend on the tonneau itself, and some don't. Some are permanent (or semi-permanent) while others are movable. What are you running? Here are some things I found so far. What are you thinking of doing?

DIY separators. 2x8 separators cut to the dimensions below (3rd gen).

Cargo bar. Removable and can place anywhere, although I am not sure how safe it would be to use on a plastic bed...? If you ratchet that hard, you may create a pretty big pressure point and may crack the bed liner.

Cargo management gate. Looks like a cross between the 2x8s, the cargo bar and a grate. Looks useful and easy to remove and store even in the bed when not in use.

Truxedo Cargo Luggage. Cross between cargo bars and a tool box. Easily removable. Seem to use the truck's rails rather than a ratchet bar so safer on the liner.

Truck Panniers from Truxedo. Use the truck's rail system and are transportable. Soft sided so not suitable for heavy/sharp objects.

Bed Extender. Can be flipped to handle longer cargo and can prevent things like groceries from shift when in storage mode. Can be used with bed mat and can be removed if needed. Can add a net or hooks to help hold things when in storage mode.

Swing cases by Undercover. I recall that when Toyota released their accessory list, these swing cases were on that list. Here in Canada, they aren't offered by the dealer at the moment (or maybe never), but they look pretty cool. They can be lifted off so that you can take your tools where you need to (albeit in a cumbersome manner), they are lockable (both cover and to the bed), and they have a shelf. Some people with longer beds might not benefit from the wheel well cover since there is ample space.

Toyota side trail bins. Not sure if these will be made for this gen, but I think they were in the past. Not sure if they are removable but do offer a hard case for storage.

Diamondback Cross bin 8 or 13 - works with Diamondback HD and SE covers. Are removable. the Crossbin 8" allows for a good amount of room under the bin for your cargo. Diamondback also makes side boxes as well

Bakflip Bak Box 2 - foldable so it remains in place, but can fold it out of the way if you need the extra cargo room. Works with Bakflip covers (and maybe the OEM tonneau since Rev, a subsidiary of Bakflip, makes the OEM cover).

Pelican cargo cases. Can be mounted to the roof or in the bed. Seem to be removable and pretty tough.

Decked tool box with ladder. If I was to go with a dedicated tool box, it would probably be something like the Decked tool box since it comes with a ladder. With no side (or even bed step for that matter), this is a no-brainer.

DIY bed drawers. Not for me because I am not putting a cap on the bed for now and the loss of space is a deal breaker for me right now, but I love this organization. Great organization for anything you are thinking of doing with your truck.

Decked bed drawers. Same benefits as above and can put a bunch of weight on top of them.

I picked up a Weather Guard chest (non-saddle) a couple years ago - works perfectly:
    https://www.zoro.com/weather-guard-...ck-131-cu-ft-674-52-01/i/G9971324/?q=G9971324

It doesn't have as much storage as a saddle box, but it's still a lot. Got it cause I plan on eventually getting a cap, and this doesn't sit on top of the bed sides like a saddle box does. It's great for a tonneau as well because it sits below the bed rails. I can post some pics if you want when I get home.

    Also, I did a no-drill chest mount - from @TheFreshMouse thread:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/no-drill-tool-chest-in-bed.47436/

That worked perfectly with those brackets - it hasn't budged in years. I ended up using carriage bolts for bolting the chest to the brackets (instead of hex bolts) to provide a bit more security.

Only downside is you lose some bed length (20.5" to be exact) - so hauling sheetrock/plywood/lumbar is a bit more challenging. I have the longer DC bed, so it's not as much of an issue for me. Still, I picked up one of these to help with that. I think there's better quality ones out there than this one, but I haven't used it yet to give any feedback on it:
