The problem with a Tundra exhaust and just hacking in a muffler:

Every part of the stock exhaust system is an oddball size. You have to get really creative to get an off the shelf muffler to go in and not have it look and flow badly.

When I first started out making mufflers for our trucks almost a decade and a half ago; I sold a ton of mufflers!! But then I started seeing pictures of exhaust shop installs of my product and it made me cringe.

That’s why I created a bolt on solution. This allows the end user to install what I’ve built and solves the problem of odd ball pipe sizing. The odd ball sizes matter btw. Go to traditional sizing in the wrong place and you lose a ton of low end torque.

Give a call if I can help engineer the perfect exhaust system for your use of the truck. In the mean time check out ‘store’ on my website.

@dirtydeeds im contemplating on upgrading my muffler system come spring time but am unfamiliar with jba headers. Ive read on here that jba makes the most hp & tq for our trucks but also read on ram forums that they have fitment issues & are of low quality compared to arh & kooks. Do specific headers produce better with specific trucks?

I’ve personally installed at least 30 sets of jba headers. And my shop foreman has installed at least 20 sets of jba long tubes.

Then we got really busy and no longer had the time to install headers and began farming out the installs at other shops.

We were 0 for 0 when it came to leaks or fitment issues when we did our own installs. Then magically almost every set had issues that ‘weren’t the shops fault’.

Moral of the story, it’s the shops fault. Ha!!

Jba are a great mass produced solution that is very good quality for the $$ (great value). Stainless steel. Ceramic coated. And make the most power out of all of the other options.

I tried to reach out to the owner of Black Widow and he was rude. I told him about our forum and what not but he did not seem to care. When I got my flowmaster installed I asked the mechanic about Black Widow and he said they are crappy and poorly made. He said unless you want the loudest most obnoxious sounding truck out there, don't get Black Widow.
