Left Friday night on time about 7 p.m. Very solid crew and captain from start to finish. Professional and surprisingly, very friendly and accommodating. There were a few rental rods out of the 26 passengers. Deck hands put in some solid work...

Went south about 50-60 miles. Caught up to the Polaris Supreme and New Lo An at about 0300 hrs, PS already had 30 BFT on their deck. We (I) got one that was 76# after being gilled and gutted That was the last BFT brought on our deck. I believe a couple guys hooked up during the day but broke off. One guy broke off with light spinning gear....no comment. Capt Tyler was gracious about it...but gave instructions of no more light/spinning gear! Kept us informed on quantity and depth at every stop.

Chased BFT schools and paddies (when it was light out) further south and in that area from 0400 until 2300 hrs. LONG @$$ DAY. Scratched out 16 YT, I got one that was under 10# but I would not call it a rat. There was only one YT that I saw in the bunch that was over 10#. Sorry no pics of the YT...it wasn't worth it.

Frank and the rest of the deckhands kicked ass. The cook (Kyle?) was amazing. Some serious skills. Burritos in the morning with chorizo, burgers excellent as you'd expect and the tri tip with that sauce with the carmelized onions....

Not sure what Polaris Supreme was doing but they just found the right school and must have been covering the water with some sick bait.
