2016 5.7 84k used hard, used like a truck still drives like new. Probably gonna need to do my brakes soon.
    Update: 10/7/2019
216k same truck drives great going on my 3rd set of brakes soon...
    Update 9/22/20
264k same old truck took it mud bogging last week got mud in my headlight housing some how. Still running great shocks might be blown out but they're 6112s with about 168k on them. Besides that great truck. 5th set of tires went coopers again.

I use Mobil 1 full synthetic every time. I've gone through one set of wheel bearings two starters a water pump and my A/C just went out at 297000 miles. I am not about to complain about anything with this truck

Bought the truck in 2007 with 231 miles on it. I just went over 222,000 this morning. Not complaining at all. Change oil every 5 thousand with Mobil 1 Full Synthetic since 80 thousand miles. Just returned hauling a trailer from California to Texas. Went to Buda Texas from San Antonio on the Toll Road, hit 98 no problems whatsoever. Still looks, drives and feels new. Changed timing belt, water pump twice. Gone through 3 sets of tires and 3 sets of brake pads. Re-Charged air conditioning system once at 190,000. Changed the Secondary Air injection Valve myself at 212,000. Leaving truck to grandson. Best truck I've ever owned. Picture taken in May 2017. Need to replace all window molding, Texas heat dries them out.

reverse.jpg I have always used 5W-20 because of the constant heat in Texas. Most of the time I leave the car out in the parking lot at work in the Texas heat, so I have to wax it with Turtle paste wax every three months or so. No fading whatsoever. I do place a couple of coats of wax on the front bumper and hood (sights of direct heat), for that same purpose (fading). This weekend is Fathers Day, so my son is waxing the truck with two coats while I drink beer and hear tunes. Wax three times a year and you will have a lasting shine.

    Hi guys,

Based on your messages, buying a high mileages (220k) doesn't seems to be such a bad idea.
I found this one (2011) for about 13k and I am considering buying it.
Do you guys know what are the thing to check?

Does it have any maintenance history ? Once owner ? Usually, when you have a one owner Tundra, they usually take care of their tundras. Is the engine clean ? Oil leaks ? transmission knocks ? Look at the radiator ? is the orange fluid still bright orange ?
If if has been taken care of, you will notice the engine clean and dry all over. Looker underneath the engine bay and you will notice.

Ok so pretty much all the classic things, no weird quirks to check? And yes it is a one owner vehicle.

@Primo Nicely kept and well looked after truck. I believe high miles cars or trucks has got a lot to do with how you drove it in the first 100K of it life.
If you didn't care for it then it wouldn't last more beyond 200k. @Primo can you please talk about what you use the truck for that resulted in such a well-kept truck and have you never thought about trading it in for a newer model
On other news there is also a million mile Lexus

i had a silverado. had 70k miles on it and it was turning into a piece of junk. i took great care of it but it was going to start rusting out soon after many Ohio winters. anyways i totaled it, and got 13k for it. i put down another 7k (talk about resale value) for a 2012 toyota tundra TRD with 100k miles on it.
i NEVER EVER in my life would have thought of buying a vehicle with that high of milage but i figured it was an even trade at the time for my 70k chevy, it was an insurance claim after all. i wasnt loooking to upgrade just make out even.
after talking to many OWNERS, NOT SALESPEOPLE at dealerships and at gas stations etc. i came to learn a Toyota with 100k miles is a baby. a chevy with 100k miles is just getting ready for major repairs, and if your lucky youll slap another 50k on it.
maybe it was because i had a GM - Government Motors 2008 bankruptcy bailout edition but man it felt cheap compared to the Tundra. everyone told me i was making a HUGE upgrade. they werent wrong. i wont ever go back

Just pick up first Tundra 2008, one owner with 155000 miles. No rust to speak of. Car fax has all the dealerships this guy went to, looks well maintained. Paid 13.9K

Looks like the normal stuff was changed including a water pump at 73000 miles.

Is there a timing belt that I need to worry about or is it chain, or anything else, thanks

If it has the 4.7 you have a timing belt that a dealership would have changed when doing the water pump most likely. They are recommended to be changed at 90k. If you have the 5.7 it has the timing chain and I don’t think there is much maintenance on them.
